Serene Martha Brae: Private Bamboo Raft & Jamaica Escape

Our driver, Leon, was timely and professional. His car was squeaky clean and luxurious making the 40 minute ride from our resort to Martha Brae enjoyable. The raft ride was incredible! We had a chance to take in the natural beauty of Jamaica we couldn’t see at the resort in a safe, well-managed tour.

Leon and his transportation services (Jamaica experience tour) were excellent! Arrived on time, got us to our destination and back safely. Well informed, clean and reliable. The best!

Starting off with our driver, Leon— he was amazing, kind and full of knowledge about Jamaica and the history as well as current life and events. Our ride to and from the Martha Brae River felt like conversations with old friends. “I never meet a stranger” and Leon felt like family. He even took us on extra scenic routes to show us more historical parts of Falmouth as well as the ports which had two docked cruise ships at the time. Thank you so much, Leon! Now onto the River Rafting experience— upon arriving they have RR, gift shops, a bar and jerk chicken all available for purchase. Once Leon checked us in he lead us down to the river to get on our bamboo raft. He took the best video for us loading up and taking off, which he airdropped to us later. Our bamboo raft Captain had been guiding rafts down the Martha Brae for 30 years. He was so kind, knowledgeable and hospitable. He had whatever you needed and helped get anything you wanted from the local people along the river. He let us swim in the river and it was SO refreshing and such a memorable moment that I will never forget. The raft was comfortable for my husband and I who are not the smallest people, he’s 6’3/300lbs and we had absolutely no problems getting onto the raft in the beginning or getting back on once jumping in. Getting off of the raft is simple and there are pictures available of great quality taken for you at the end of the river while still on the raft. Life jackets are provided for those who are less adventurous but still willing to take risks! You will NOT regret this experience from start to finish. 10/10 recommend.

This bamboo raft was amazing! Ricky was so great to us. The clay is a must try if you’re looking to self sooth. Going down the river was so zen and a great experience. It’s a calm and peaceful ride, enjoyed some coconut, something to drink and of course smoke. Will do it again. Thank you !

We had a pleasant ride and great conversation on the way to the river. Once we arrived Roger handled everything with the tickets while we relaxed. We got a welcome drink before he escorted us down to our raft. And we were off! What a special, romantic trip down the river with our raft captain who took photos for us and we had a nice chat with. When we got to the end of the river, after about an hour, Roger was waiting for us. We took a ride to get some lunch nearby and headed back to our hotel. This was the highlight of our 3 nights in Montego Bay - and I can't imagine it would've been the same without Roger and the team at Jamaica Experiences Tours. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and this team!

This was my favorite excursion out of my entire trip! We were picked up by Leon. He’s great! Very strict with the car and wet clothes, so be prepared. He will send the rules out the day prior. Also, confirm the time for the excursion ahead of time. The booking says one thing, but it’s not the proper time. Leon was able to accommodate our morning booking, so we were thankful. The rafting was SO RELAXING!!! There were 6 of us and they allowed us to sail next to each other. We purchased a bottle of rum punch at the place (which was delicious), and I brought my speaker, so the vibes were there. WE LOVED THE CREW!!! They were attentive, so kind, so fun, and so patient with us. We opted out of the massages, but I’m sure they would have been great. I would recommend the morning booking because it was not many people, no lines, and not too hot. We were in and out, back to our hotel by 1 pm to enjoy the rest of our day. Highly recommend!!!!

Today June 28th 2025 me and my fiancé did the rafting with captain bunny. He was amazing and very knowledgeable about Jamaica and the river. He allowed me the give my queen a limestone massage and we had an amazing time. We will definitely be back and do it again. So if you thinking about it please ask for captain bunny!!!

The views and the vibes were breath taking. Tachi was the driver for my cousin and myself and he definitely gave us the presidential treatment. He had a speaker so we played Bob all the way down the river with him giving us informative info as we sailed. If you go, you have to do this. Play Rastaman Chant at some point while sailing down the river😌 Experience 10/10 Tachi 10/10
