Pedal Through Time: Cromwell Heritage Precinct Bike Discovery

Rob is a super nice guy with great gear. Very informative. Oh, he put on a perfect day to do the Lake Dunstan Trail too. 10/10. Highly recommended.

Tom and I hired bikes from Rod at CHP bike rentals Cromwell to cycle the Dunstan Trail from Cromwell to Clyde. Rod was very personable and outstanding with his communication of the hiring process and also detailed description of the track. The bikes were superb, in great order and being purpose built were perfect for the track. Rod's training of how to use the bikes was very clear. The track itself was magnificent and we would highly recommend Rod and CHP Rentals to anyone considering cycling the Dunstan or any other trail from Cromwell. Carol

We (5 of us ) were delighted that we chose Rod and CHP for our Lake Dunstan Trail experience. 3 of us used Rod’s electric bikes - which were by far the best we’ve ever ridden - and we were lucky to ride on a spectacular autumnal day with hardly anyone else on the trail. Rod was very responsive in his email communication beforehand and made sure we knew exactly what to expect from the trail. We rode from Cromwell to Clyde with the sun and wind at our backs and stopped for delicious pizza and coffee at Carrick Vineyard. We were a bit late getting to Clyde (too many photo stops) but Rod was there waiting for us, and encouraged us to take our time and have a cup of tea before taking us back. We all had such a fun day riding in superb scenery on such an extraordinary bike trail, and would like to thank Rod for looking after us so well! He definitely goes the extra mile for his customers.

Hubby and I emailed Rodney the day before and he was very quick to reply. Rodney gave us a briefing about the trail and where he will meet us in Clyde and we were off. The trail was AWESOME… every part of it was stunning, Carrick Winery was a beautiful spot to stop for a coffee and snack and the whole trip was incredible. We had time to grab lunch in Clyde whilst Rodney loaded all our bikes on to the trailer and drove us back to Cromwell in the very comfortable mini van. Rodney was an absolutely lovely man who works hard to ensure all his guests can enjoy the perfect day out. Thank you Rodney and CHP Bike Rentals.

Rod was so friendly and explained the bikes and the track so well giving us the confidence we could do it. Bikes were exceptional and their battery life was excellent. 10/10 will come back to complete the entire lake Dunstan to Clyde track next time!
