Romantic Verona & Breathtaking Lake Garda Day Trip from Milan

Great tour, everything was flawless. Only surprise was that we thought the optional hotel pick up was before and after the tour but it was before only and we had to find our own way back to our hotel.

Verona was beautiful and fun. Personally, I wish to have a longer time in Verona because lunch can take up all of the 2 hours free time. This caused us unable to revisit Juliet statue and town square. Simone town is very small, nice for a short visit of 1 hour. Doesn't need 1.5 hours.

The tour was punctual and a full day, The bus stops and picks up a group in Bergamo (in our case a very large group). The guide provides headsets making the impact of a large group less of an issue. Verona is a beautiful city and the coliseum (plus inside visit) and Juliet’s house are highlights. If you choose to have lunch, there is limited free time to go up to Juliet’s balcony. Our tour guide in Verona, Andrea, was very knowledgeable and informative. We got more free time in Lake Garda. There’s enough time for a boat tour, Castle visit and a gelato.,,, or just stroll along the Centro Storico. Michel, our overall tour guide, was helpful, friendly and assured the group stayed together and everything ran smoothly. Her recommendation to try the “risotto amarone” did not disappoint. It was delicious. Overall enjoyable tour.

Verona and Lake Garda Day trip from Milan: It was a wonderful experience going to Verona and Lake Garda with our very knowledgeable and responsible tour guide Mario, and safe bus driver Hanas. Our local tour guide in Verona (I forgot her name) was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Lake Garda and Sirmione were stunning. Boat ride on Lake Garda was optional with added cash payment, and we are very happy that we took it, as it was an amazing experience. My husband and I really enjoyed this tour and we highly recommend it.

I highly recommend this tour!! They picked us up at the hotel at 6:15. The instructions said to be ready to go from 6:45 to 6:45. When we arrived at the central bus location, the driver was brief and said to get on the bus. But be aware that there are multiple buses. I originally was in the line to Venice, but I needed the Verona bus. The guide and driver were fantastic. Lots of historical info and local flavor of Milan and Italy. They were clear about the meeting times and where to be. They gave an emergency number Nd always had checkpoints to make sure no one was left behind. First stop gas station with full hot bfast available. Clean bathrooms, but quickly. Most people got croissants and coffee. Next stop Verona- the local guide here was excellent with 25 years of experience. Because it was raining they pivoted to a partial driving experience to get us closer. Great improvisation. Saw Julette’s balcony, her house, and the arena. They take you to a lunch place, but you should go on your own. The place was not the best. Next stop Lake Garda. Beautiful, clean. Definitely do the boat tour. Have 14 euros per person to skip the line. Best part of the day. They drive you into the heart of the oldest estate in Italy. Plan on a book or online game as the bus time is 4-5 hrs. The bus is a Mercedes and top of the line. You will need 50 cent euro for restroom in Lake Garda. I have been in 10+ viators and this is a great one for an easy way to do a day trip from Milan.

The lake and the area around it were absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend this tour. Mario our tour leader was great and Andrea was amazing guide in Verona.
