Kangaroo Island Coastal Safari: Epic Wildlife Ocean Adventure

Really enjoyed this 75 minute trip. I'd already seen a couple of Dolphins from the shore, was optimistic. We saw a couple of pods and the Dolphins were happy to swim around the boat and follow us. Also saw Seals and various birds. Captain was knowledgeable and answered several questions

November 2025 Have to say that we were pretty lucky as due bad weather, our boat trip of 75 mins was cancelled but on the day before we are to depart Kangaroo Island, they have a slot in the AM before we board the ferry back to mainland. It was great atmosphere and crowd size was decent, abt 8 participants on board. We got a great view of the Dolphins swimming around the boat a couple of times and also the pilot took us close to see the Seals lying on the rock. Have to say the Pilot knows his geographical position well to see these Dolphins.

Great experience with the coastal safari, Elijah and Kimberly were very knowlegable guides! And Naomi from the front office was very accomodating in rebooking our tours due to windy conditions on our original schedule. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island!

The instructors did an excellent job in guiding all of us during the tour. A highly entertaining and knowledgeable experience.

Great experience, the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We saw lots of dolphins, some seals and birds. We also got an explaination of the rock formations.

What a fantastic trip! Friendly and knowledgeable, Kimberley and Elijah were professional and fun skippers. We were lucky enough to see a pod of bottlenose dolphins surfing our bow wave, a pair of white-bellied eagles fishing, brown seals basking on the rocks and a wedge-tailed eagle soaring overhead. Thanks for a great trip.

A special experience on this coastal cruise. Boat operator and assistant very knowledgeable, good commentary. felt safe on board. Magic to see the dolphins and seals plus here the history of the area.

A really awesome tour, with very informative skipper and guide! Would definitely go again and would recommend the tour to anyone. We were advised at the start of the tour that it wasn’t guaranteed that we would see dolphins or seals, but we ended up seeing lots of dolphins and a few seals. Everyone was very happy. The staff were excellent in answering all the questions about KI, the seals and the dolphins.

What a way to start a day on KI - We had a great time with the crew taking us out to see the Kangaroo Island coast. Before we headed too far we had our first encounter with a number of dolphins which continued at various times over the trip. The bird life was amazing and the long fur seals hanging out on the rock with some turf wars taking place was great to watch. We then experienced the sea eagle taking a large fish back to its nest. The crew were great, you never felt rushed and they were always interactive sharing information and taking question. The boat had ample room and was first class. This was a first class experience that I would highly recommend for anyone coming to KI.

Amazing experience, fantastic friendly and knowledgeable crew. Coastal views you can't see from your car, and dolphin play you can't miss out on. It's a must do activity.
