Sintra Royal Magic & Coastal Gems: Pena, Regaleira, Cascais
No address available
The crown jewel, multi award-winning and bestseller tour, this is a classic experience one must have when in Lisbon. We start by Sintra, whose cultural landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll have free time to explore the village center with its typical narrow and steep cobblestone streets and outstanding sceneries. The tour heads after to Quinta da Regaleira, and its 4 hectares of lush gardens, lakes, grottoes and enigmatic constructions such as the Iniciatic Well, a true must see. The next stop is the enormous Pena Park, a unique botanic garden with 85 hectares of pure nature easy to fall in love with. After the Sintra visit, the tour takes you through the charming road of the county to the westernmost point of continental Europe, the impressive Cabo da Roca. Last but not least the beachtown of Cascais, former fisherman town, today an elite and chic hotspot, after being a refuge during World War II, where you’ll have free time to stroll around. Gancalo was our tour guide to Sintra and he did a wonderful job. We couldn’t have asked for a more informed tour guide. He answered our questions and provided a historical perspective. He was terrific.

I was totally satisfied with this tour, we were in Lisbo for 2 days and we felt we saw some of the best sights. Magdalena was great!

This was the highlight of our trip to Lisbon. Family of six with four teenagers, so a tough crowd, but they all loved it. We had a terrific guide in Daniel, and the van was comfortable and clean. He did a great job narrating what we were seeing but also not overwhelming us with information, and he didn't single out the kids in any way, like so many tour guides do. The locations were wonderful and the cost was reasonable given everything we did that day. It was a long day, for sure, but it was well-paced with good breaks for food and shopping. We just loved it. Would do it again and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Our trip to Sintra was amazing! Our guide Carlos was very knowledgeable of the sites and history, and was very accommodating and a great host. We also had a great group on the tour that were lots of fun and had a great lunch that Carlos recommended. Truly a great experience! Thank you Carlos and our “family” group!!

Leo did a phenomenal job full of facts and history as he took us through these amazing places! He showed patience as he answered questions and never a dull moment in the windy twisty roads. We fully recommend Leo for an entertaining and informative day! Five stars!

Out guide Leo was a real history expert. The tour went in every way very well. A good balance between guided tour and freetime.

Had a great day out with Alex who was a great driver and guide. Not only did he look after us really well, however he also ran the tour in both Spanish and English concurrently, kept us on time (with van full of women!!), and was fun and informative too. Pena Palace, Rigaleira and Cascais did not disappoint either - a rally good option for a day trip out of Lisbon.
