My wife and I toured the USS Alabama while in the area and we were not disappointed. I feel it priced right. We didn't spend a ton of time reading everything and it still took us 2 hours to get through it. I highly recommend taking the time if in the area.

The ship is well kept and has colored lines to let you tour in the manner your want. Excellent hangar area with more to see on airpower and a submarine to get the feel of what men had to go through while being under water.

Wear your walking/ climbing shoes lol. Very cool tour. We were met at entrance on board by a former Alabama crewmember who told us all about the tours and provided a guide. So much to see. We did all three tours as one. The engine/boiler room even has the sounds crewmen would have heard piped in. We got a little turned around below decks but a few of us did but it wasn't the slightest bit frustrating. Lots and lots of steep ladders with good rails and plenty of padding in low hanging areas. We enjoyed the whole park. We spent approx 4 hrs here. We did not rush at all.

Wow! All I can say! How do the sailors even find their rooms? This is like a small city in one place. It's HUGE! The self guided tours are great. This allows you to do things at your pace. The museum is very interesting as well. We also toured the submarine and have whole new respect for submariners! Talk about close quarters. One thing we quickly noticed the aisles are very narrow so visitors need to realize when they stop and talk or tale photos---check behind you! We were held for several minutes while a visitor decided to take pics of every gauge and handle near the exit. That's it, just be aware. It's a great memorial and fascinating!

Such a fun and informational tour. We learned so much. We loved touring both the battleship and the submarine.

This Memorial park is fantastic! If you are a gearhead, military buff, tech person etc you will tuly enjoy! Staff are outstanding as well. The Alabama is like a new ship. This is by far a place to spend at least 4 hours. A gem! !

We had a great afternoon here, and learnt a lot about the war at sea during WWII. I also learnt that the Alabama fought alongside HMS Belfast (my go to place when in London). If you have the chance, talk to one of the many volunteers onboard as they have stories of their own to tell that add depth to the experience. From talking to Mike, we learned of the Living History Day in December, and will be making our return trip then. This is a trip the whole family can enjoy, and there were many children there when we visited. We really should have got there earlier in the day and, because we missed so much, we are going to be making a return visit. Included in the reasonable ticket price is the USS Drum (submarine), the aviation hangar, the USS Alabama and various, worth watching, video reels. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as there are many ladders to climb, and walking on the steel decks is really not conducive to fancy shoes. Also not really a place to dress to impress, as it can get extremely warm below decks and very confined in places.
