Iguassu Falls: Unforgettable Panoramic Helicopter Tour

First of all, buy this tickets in person. It’s much cheaper. Secondly, if you get a bad seat, you see almost nothing. Lastly, it’s extremely short. It’s much better to just go to the park and see it

We booked the trip on the spot, on 29 August. The flight is described as lasting 9 minutes. Note: this is the total time, including take-off and landing. We knew that. However, in practice, it is 4 minutes to take off and fly to the waterfall, and then we just turn back above the waterfall. We are over the waterfall for 1 minute and 15 seconds (according to the time stamp on the photos), which means for about 35 seconds the left and right sides of the helicopter see the waterfall. The pilot knows how to fly, but he is not experienced enough to make the flight stable, calm and elegant. Rather, he jerks and makes nervous turns. This is very bad for the propeller, but also for the passengers and for taking photos. In total, we managed to take about a dozen photos above the waterfall - only from one high altitude, at a forced angle. For comparison, we took a few other helicopter flights (also over waterfalls, e.g. Victoria Falls in South Africa). The price was similar, but we spent about 15 minutes over the waterfall itself, the pilot smoothly changed altitude, made a few circles, and flew in a civilised and smooth manner. In short, the flight took place, theoretically as described. However, it was almost nothing - basically take-off, landing and a momentary view of the waterfall from a great height. Absolutely not worth the money.

The helicopter flight over Iguacu Falls is a 'must'! The check-in process is very straight-forward, with agents able to help in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Sit in front next to the pilot if you can, but everyone had a great view.

This experience was short and sweet! About 15 minutes helicopter closed door ride over Iguazu Falls! It was incredible to see it from a Birds Eye few as there is sooo much area the falls cover. You circle the falls a few times then head back to the base.

An absolute must, this is an opportunity of a lifetime and by far the best way to see the falls!! Although 10 minutes does not seem like much time, it is perfect! It allows you to get some very good pictures of them and see them from a different perspective. We paid around £85 each and it was worth every penny, I would love to do it again.

Well worth doing. Incredible view. You share the aircraft with other people. It’s first come to get onto the chopper; others with us barged their way to the front and the staff are very focused on getting the plane into the air so they dont think through where people seat. My wife ended up with the only middle seat despite being the shortest. She saw very little so it was not a great experience for her….

Super cool experience honestly! Although you cannot reserve a specific time slot; everything went super quick. The flight was only 10 minutes but flying over Iguazu Falls was the best experience ever!

What an experience we had in a helicopter ride over the Iguazu Cascadas. Unforgettable. Pilot plus 5 more with all but one a window seat. Quite cramped but too taken up by the views simultaneously of the cascades on both sides Brazil and Argentinian.
