The after dark feeding tour is an experience that is unique to Devils@Cradle. This tour provides an unforgettable experience, and the opportunity to observe these extraordinary animals whilst one of our keepers gives you a greater understanding of them, and details the conservation work being undertaken within the facility. Devils and quolls are primarily nocturnal species, therefore are far more active at night, and the introduction of food generally stimulates some fierce competition between them. We use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight!

Excellent experience learning about Tasmanian Tigers and Quolls. Prue provided a great narration as she worked her way around the enclosures providing evening dinner to the animals. It was quite the spectacle to observe these creatures and their behaviour. I was a bit doubtful about what it would look like - sounds of crunching bones and smell of meat. I completely forgot about these concerns once the adventure began. This became one of the more interesting encounters of our Tassie adventure.

Truly insightful on the importance of animal conservation for Tassie Devils, Spotted-tailed Quolls, and Eastern Quolls.

Even in wet weather, this tour was great. The guide provided just enough information about the animals and there were ample opportunities to ask more and to take great photos.

Excellent experience. Very informative. Easy view of animals close up and plenty of devils & quolls to see. Amazing to see the devils munch through meat and bones!

What a fantastic experience for our family, whilst we were visiting Cradle Mountain from QLD. We loved learning about Tasmanian Devils and Quolls and love the work being done to conserve these beautiful animals. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

It was amazing, informative and humorous. Sarah (if I remember correctly) was an amazing, funny and knowledgable host of our night tour. We will be back. The “dessert with the devil” tour we went on was lovely and relaxed.

It was a good experience learning about the local critters, and watching them get fed. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

This was a really unique experience. I am visiting Tasmania for the first time (Gold Coaster here 🙋♀️) so felt like I had to do at least a few of the typical touristy things. Our ranger was amazing and told us all about their challenges, how they mate etc They do eat rather ferociously, so wouldn’t recommend this tour if you are vegan or squeamish at all around meat and bones. But they are fascinating creatures! A must if you have never seen them before.
