Breathtaking Madeira: Full Day 4x4 Enchanted Terraces

Could not recommend this experience any more! A fantastic tour of the island, stopping at all of the hot spots. Our driver was so friendly and easy to chat to - very knowledgeable about the island, I learnt a lot! There’s no better way to explore Madeira than on a jeep, the off-roading was so fun! A real highlight of my trip!

We had such an incredible time on the Madeira West – Enchanted Terraces & Fanal UNESCO jeep tour! Our guide, Pedro, was amazing — young, energetic, and full of positive energy. He made the entire day so much fun while sharing interesting stories and facts about Madeira’s history and nature. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the open-top jeep made the experience even more exciting. It was the perfect mix of adventure, beauty, and learning. Highly recommend this tour and definitely ask for Pedro if you can!

This tour was absolutely outstanding — truly unique and unlike any other experience I’ve had in Madeira. It was filled with adventure, beautiful wilderness, and exciting off-road moments. Our guide, Pedro, was exceptional — knowledgeable, skilled, and a great driver. We jokingly told him he didn’t manage to scare us, but in reality, it was an unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Even with the fog and rain, the trip was amazing. I would recommend it without hesitation! 🙌

We had a blast with Eduardo as our driver. He was funny and really knowledgeable about Madeira and all the places we went to. It was an adventure I’ll always remember.

Great way to get around to various spots, with some privileges not having to deal with parking. Jump out and go see the attraction and carry on to the next spot. Great guide and jokes from him throughout the day, with lots of added info and question answering!

There is some great off reading which does get bumpy. Tops of mountains get cold and misty. Additional money for lunch was well the cost. Eddie was a very informative driver who made the experience great fun.

An all day trip including some exciting off road trails. We saw many different trees & plants our driver/guid,Ed, was very good in the flora & fauna - we stopped to pick herbs such as oregano, bay leaves & rosemary. We walked alongside a levada and experienced the sun tropical nature of Madeira. Unfortunately, the clouds were low so we could not see the 3 high oeaks. We enjoyed seeing the Funal Forest of ancient laurel trees despite a heavy downpour of rain! We had a very good typical lunch with wine. The highlight was swimming in the sea pools in the ancient lava rock. We had a great day & would thoroughly recommend it! The sun came out in the afternoon so even the wet weather didn’t spoil our experience. We got a great feel of the west side of Madeira and our guide was also good on the history & culture.

We had a fabulous day. Saw some amazing sights. Timing for each viewpoint or stop was just right. The offroading is great fun. Diego was a great guide, knowledgeable about the island, generally helpful, as well as being an excellent driver. This was a great way to experience the West/Northwest of the island. Well worth the money.
