Brilliant tour. Both Ahmed (this tour) and Jasmin (the next day) were very knowledgeable, passionate and great communicators. The tours are great value too, especially as there was just 3 of us, meaning we got to ask lots of questions of the guides along the way, who were only too willing to give us comprehensive answers. If you get a few hour spare and you're in Sarajevo, I'd highly recommend them.

This tour was gut-wrenching, in such an important way. We learned, more firsthand than we expected, about daily life during the Siege of Sarajevo from our guide, Almir. His personal experience made this deeply informative tour something that we will remember forever. We saw many major sites in Sarajevo, placed in context by his experience, such as war zones mere meters from his family home. This is a deeply moving tour, and will challenge you to face cruelty in an important way. Almir is a wonderful guide, and we were lucky to have him!

The tour was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. The guide Ejub was great, very knowledgeable about the history and the places we visited and always open to answer the questions from the group. The main reason for me to visit Sarajevo was to learn about it's recent history, and this tour fulfilled that and made my trip worthed.

During our stay in Sarajevo, me and my partner joined the “Fall of Yugoslavia” tour, and it was one of the most touching experiences of our trip. The tour was particularly powerful because our guide — if I remember correctly, his name was Almir — had personally lived through the terrible war of the 1990s. Hearing the story of that period from someone who experienced it firsthand made everything deeply emotional and incredibly meaningful. It wasn’t just history from a book; it was lived memory, shared with honesty and sensitivity. One of the most evocative moments was visiting the abandoned bobsleigh track from the 1984 Winter Olympics. That day there was a lot of snow, which made the atmosphere even more striking and symbolic — standing there, surrounded by silence and winter, it was impossible not to reflect on how much this city has endured. Me and my partner were also lucky enough to be at the Yellow Fortress on the first evening of Ramadan. We witnessed families gathering to celebrate and experienced the traditional cannon shot marking the end of the fast. It was a beautiful and special moment that added an unexpected cultural depth to the day. A truly beautiful and moving experience that we will not forget.

The tour took us to the tunnel of hope and the bobsleigh track in the mountains. Also to the Yellow fortress. Almir’s first hand experience of the war was very powerful. He also provided a very detailed political and cultural background.

A free 2 hour Walking tour every morning at 10:30. Ahmed is a brilliant historian and passionate guide. Treat him well! 🙏 Next day we went on the Sarajevo Siege Tour - absolutely excellent tour and guided by a young man I can’t recall his name but he was awesome ! Thanks again 😊

The Free Walking Tour was a delightful 2.5-hour tour. The lady was very dedicated and heartfelt in her explanations. I also participated in the Fall of Yugoslavia tour. Mr. Saned shared all the details about the war and the country, along with his childhood memories from the war years, for 3.5 hours. It was a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend it 👍 🇧🇦
