Ravenna's Golden Glow: Unforgettable Mosaic Art Journey

Silvia was a very knowledgeable guide. She led us through the streets of Ravenna to visit amazing mosaics. P.s. The address of where to meet was very vague. It would have helped to have mentioned that we were to enter the Information Centre and register.

We have never been to a more beautiful town than Ravenna, all the mosaic, from 1500 years ago to modern work from famous and local artist, all amazing. But without our guide Chiara, that would be all we take away from this town. With Chiara almost endless knowledge of the town, it's history, not just mosaic but history of different rulers and religion that made their impact on it's churches and art within it. Chiara detailed and sometime funny explanations made the 3 hours tour a breeze and it's a absolute must if you visit this amazing town.

Beautiful city, excellent tour. We had to arrive an hour later, however, the agency was in close contact with us and allow us to meet the guide at one of the stops. Thanks to the agency coordination, we didn’t lose any time, and were also able visit rheumatologist first attractions afterwards without a guide.

Ravenna has been on my bucket list for years, and wow! The city did not disappoint. Easily walkable, great restaurants, and 7 UNESCO world heritage sites. Sergio was our guide. I should say at this point, that I am professional guide in Paris, so I went into this tour with a different level of knowledge and expectations than others might, and Sergio was fabulous. From apologising about his English which was adorably Italian, to competently leading us around, he was very fun. The tour is 3.5ĥ, and extremely comprehensive. Sergio explained the history and iconography as we went though San Francesco, San Vitale, the baptistère and the cathédrale museum, taking in all the wonders and incredible mosaics.

She was so knowledgeable- we learned so much from her. She did an amazing job considering the crowds from the marathon. Definitely impressed and worth seeing!

The tour is amazing. The mosaics are incredible and our guide was a plethora of information. On top of it all, the Ravenna Marathon was held the same day. Double the fun.
