Arrábida: Private Wine & Gourmet Tour with Breathtaking Views

We booked a tour with Andre during our stay in Setúbal, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From the moment he picked my partner and me up, he made us feel completely at ease with his friendly, genuine personality and amazing local knowledge. Andre took us through the breathtaking landscapes of Arrábida, stopping at places we never would have discovered on our own. Andre chose a beautiful local vineyard where we sampled delicious wines and learned so much about the region’s traditions. It felt authentic, intimate and incredibly special. Andrew was amazing. He took us several places that were quite remarkable and he explained everything so well that we were left more than pleased. He also went above and beyond by taking pictures of us throughout our trip that will help provide us with lasting memories. Overall, an excellent tour. We particularly enjoyed the visit to the tile studio. Seeing artisans actually create the beautiful hand painted tiles was a definite highlight! Rui was a fantastic guide who shared a great deal of knowledge as well as his personal experiences with us. The two vineyard tours and tastings contrasted the processes undertaken by large and small companies and were very informative. Taking this private tour was well worth the cost!

This was a full day private wine tour for a group of 6 of us. Rui was an amazing guide - very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and gave refreshingly honest opinions. Our first stop was the Livramento market which had probably the freshest seafood I've ever seen. We stopped off at two wineries either side of lunch (both good and I wished I had bought more of the Moscatel Roxo from Piloto as well as the Rose from Catralvos). We were constantly entertained with Rui and his knowledge of Setubal, the surrounding National Park as well as the food and wine. I would really recommend this tour & Rui to others.

Our guide Rui was excellent. He customized the day for us, since we ended up with a private tour during this low season. Based on our discussions and interests he made valuable adjustments that improved our experience of the culture and history of Portugal. He was focused on our enjoyment for the entire day. He was warm and knowledgeable and fun. This tour is rich and varied and we give it the highest recommendation!

Great tour with an amazing tour guide Andrew. Highly recommend if you are looking for a full day tour. Wineries were amazing and so good! Restaurant on the water was also delicious. Although not included in the price of the tour it’s worth it. We spent $60€ for a good amount of food. The fish was amazing and so fresh. Had so many laughs and so many conversations that the day flew by. Don’t miss out on this excursion it’s definitely worth it. Thank you again Andrew! We will use you again when we are back

I was in Europe for a cruise in the Mediterranean. On the way home I decided to visit Lisbon for the first time. I only had three days so they had to be used carefully. I like wine so I thought a wine tour would be a good day to spend a day outside of the city and to see some countryside. My expectations were met. There were three of us on the tour and our guide was Peter Canana, who picked us up at our hotels. Unfortunately, he had to drive from Arrabida into the city across the 25th of April Bridge, which was beset by an accident which slowed traffic to a crawl. While we lost an hour waiting Peter insured that we got the full tour and was able to make arrangements to not only make up for the lost hour but to also rearrange our visits so that the tour came off as seamless. Peter was knowledgeable and personable. He gave us background on wine production in Arrabida but also pointed out things of interest, like cork trees and storks. He also arranged for us to lunch at a very good restaurant. It had been raining for the days I was in Lisbon, and while I can't claim that Peter was responsible for the good weather we had in Arribida, I can't help but feel his personality played a role in keeping the rain clouds at bay. in all, it was delightful day, with good wine, good scenery, and good company. And not too much company - the group was just the right size. If you choose to take this tour be sure to ask for Peter Canana.

Peter our guide for the day was great. Super informative and very friendly. The tour was great and the weather cooperated. The wineries were great and our lunch was authentic. The market tour was very cool. Visiting the tile shop was also a nice touch. Highly recommend.
