What day! Started early out of Athens in a really nice small bus. We drove to the Corinthian Canal and were given time to walk around, take pictures and a health break. Nice cafe with lots of options. Then onto Nafplion and Mycenaean. Anthony (tour guide) gave lots of historical information and descriptions of everything. Nicos (the driver), was awesome. Careful and professional. No worries about our safety and comfort. The drive was pleasant and we liked seeing all the olive, lemon and orange orchards. Nafplion is a really nice town. Lots to see at all the steps. Various levels of exercise so good for the old and young.

Our tour guide, Helena, was personable and knowledgeable. The ruins of Mycenae were impressive. The restaurant was not picturesque or particularly friendly . They treated us as a group of bothersome tourists. The lamb was good but nothing special.

Guide was able to converse extremely well in both English and French. We received a very professional history lesson. Transportation and lunch was first class

I enjoyed the tour. Additional time was needed at Mycene. 20 minutes does give enough time for pictures and the museum. I could only take pictures.

Nice tour into the campagne of Greece. Our guide was very good in precising historical facts. Even in the free time, she was open to share some interesting local facts for those who were looking for something besides the touristic places.

We really enjoyed this tour. Pickup arrangements went smoothly, the tour guide (Xenia) was friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed visiting Mycenae and also the time in Nafplion, which is a beautiful town. We had a drink in a lovely bar on the seafront to relax after exploring Mycenae. The lunch was good and they accommodated vegetarian food as it was a set menu. Only constructive feedback would be that the tour guide talked for just a little bit too long which impacted on time to explore Mycenae by ourselves. They could adapt by giving a shorter explanation and then giving people the option to stay for more information or head off on their own. The museum was also very busy with tour groups making it hard to see the exhibits. A tip - if you’re vegetarian or have other dietary needs, message the operator in advance as the lunch is a set menu otherwise and all meat.

Very good, highly recommend, whole day event, quite a bit of walking and the terrain is not even, the weather can be changeable so make sure to take layers and a raincoat

Very interesting. Our tour guide Nancy was very informative .We saw a lot . My suggestion is to avoid lunch, any place in Nafplio is better and you will get almost 2 hours in that nice town, instead of mediocre lunch in a hotel.

Terrific tour guide. She was a faint of information. Wonderful stops. We loved all the stops and the meal was good.

Mycenae, Mikines, Archeological Site Our final stop is the archeological site of Mikines, (there are several spellings of this place, am confused, guessing the Greek are as well, haha) Nice slow walk up the mountain, not too bad, less strenuous than the other sites we visited! But it appears that the one and only point of real interest is the Lion Head, beside of course the various remnants of this site, clearly explained in the various tablets/signs well positioned as appropriate! We got our fill of history on Greece on this trip, although I know there are many more to be explored, but just that there is never enough time! But we got a great idea & exposure which is what it was all about! Credit to Greeka.com: The Mycenaean Acropolis in Kolymbithres Paros: The hill overlooking Kolymbithres is the site where remains of the Mycenaean Acropolis are found from the 13th century BC. Parts of the remains were brought to light in 1975 by archaeologist Dimitris Skilardis. #magicalholidays#thetourist #greece #athens #holidaysurprise #mycenae #mikines
