The Best Damajagua Waterfalls Shore Excursion and Party from outside the main gates of the Amber Cove port in Puerto Plata awaits! Your REAL adventure starts with a narrated, countryside drive to the Damajagua Waterfalls "base camp", located at the edge of a tropical forest. You will cross a river and streams before making an approximately 30-minute uphill hike. Your return to base camp will be via a series of jumps and slides through waterfalls and natural water slides carved by centuries of rushing water. Your highly skilled coach and guide, a member of our "Jump Crew", will be with you from start to finish - making all the jumps and slides with you! The party starts immediately following your adventure when your coach becomes party host! You will enjoy free-flowing rum punch and lively local music on the return. It was a lot of fun, lots of walking which was expected. We went on 4 slides and one cliff or platform jump. Water was cool but refreshing. A bit confusing as multiple groups blended and different direction from different guides. Overall fun experience

Best experience on a tour! Got there, hike was about 40 minutes to the waterfalls, but we had plenty of water and stops to rest. Cold water, but worth it after the hike. So much encouragement to jump and slide down the waterfall. Getting out of your comfort zone for this one is a must. Not to mention the samples of Mama Juana and lots of Rum Punch at the end! What a party on the bus afterwards! Props to our tour guides. 🎉

The whole experience was excellent. Xander and his team kept us all entertained the whole way there and back and during the excursion. The rum punch in the van on the way back and stopped for bananas and cookies were all very good. We could not have asked for a better guide. Thank you Xander.

Xander was amazing. He was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. The herding of groups at he falls detracted from the overall experience, but Xander's presentations on local culture and his enthusiasm to go above and beyond were definitely the highlights of this excursion. If we are ever in the DR again, we would love to try a different tour with him.

So freaking cool! Lots of fun hiking, sliding down slides, and jumping off platforms, I loved this experience so much! Highly recommend! Also the guides were so knowledgeable and friendly!

Alex was our tour guide, Jamal was our driver. It was a great tour. Just my bf and I ended up in the van! I was surprised no one else booked this on our cruise. Friendly and funny and helpful. Alex took videos and pictures for us. I absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Amber Cove. Make sure you go first thing in the morning!

The tour guides are amazing! Very friendly and accommodating to any needs you may have. The hike is a a variety of flat areas, stairs (lots) and inclines. You don’t have to be physically fit but definitely be prepared to sweat and be winded. I wore shoes which were ok but I’d suggest a good pair with a hard sole. There were lots of rocks on the trails and in the waterfalls. I highly recommend this excursion and company!

This was an amazing excursion! The guys who took us on the hike and down the falls were outstanding. The drivers of the shuttle were amazing as well. Our things were safe in the shuttle as the driver stayed with our stuff. The tour guides went above and beyond. Will be doing this again without a doubt.

My fiance, daughter, and I chose this experience and could not be happier about it! We paid $20 less a person than Carnival offered, the transportation was quick, and we even got local bananas and rum punch! This was also something Carnival did not offer for the exact same experience. We cannot speak highly enough of our guide, Winston, and how much we enjoyed his hospitality.

They are very nice and take really good care of you. Their energy gives the experience so much life and enjoyment. Winston our tour guide was absolutely the best
