My wife and I had a fantastic day with Martin who was very knowledgeable about all things wine and South African history. Martin picked us up at our hotel at 9am sharp and dropped us back just after 5pm. We hit three different wine regions which gave us a great feel of different wines and experiences. Martin was a gent throughout, we did not feel rushed at any point during our tastings and we would definitely recommend Martin to our friends and family when they come to visit. Thanks Martin again

This tour was absolutely amazing! John was the epitome of hospitality, knowledge, professionalism, friendliness, patience and passion! His knowledge of wines, history, and the Cape region in general made for a spectacular day. My husband and brother-in-law, both from the Cape, felt as though they learned some things as well and were doubly impressed by his passion for the area. We were all impressed by the fantastic timing and smoothness of the tour and the excellent wine! We highly recommend booking this company (and I might add, I rarely leave reviews though I rely on them often when traveling so decided I needed to relay what an amazing day this was for future researchers/travelers)! John arranged a private tour of three of the Cape's top wine estates with a visit to a fourth for lunch. His knowledge and expertise were amazing, but more than that we greatly enjoyed his company and companionship in tasting a series of first-class wines and learning more about the Cape's wine heritage and South Africa. We are already looking forward to repeating the experience on our next visit to the Cape.

Our tours were exceptional, with John guiding us through three stunning South African wine regions. We enjoyed wine tastings and lunch at Avondale in Paarl, Anthonij Rupert in Franschhoek, and L'Avenir in Stellenbosch.

The best wines 🍷 ever tasted at all three point interlaced with lunch 🥗. The tour operator was excellent and explained everything aspect enroute with a stop at the Victor Vester prison gate photo opportunity at the gate

A great day touring the beautiful cape wineries with Louw who was very patient with us and very accommodating in meeting our needs.

We had a fabulous trip! Visited 5 wineries and sampled excellent wines with a great, informative guide in Louw. We asked for beautiful scenery... and Louw certainly delivered. We made wonderful memories and would definitely recommend! Thank you !

Had a wonderful trip with Wine Escapes. Our guide Martin was so informative and took us to some beautiful wineries that were not the large tourist variety wineries. We learned so much about South Africa and the different people who reside there. Martin was a former winemaker who was so knowledgeable about all of the various aspects of the wine making process. The best part of our tour was our driver Louw. He gave us invaluable insight into the region and its politics. He also chose excellent wineries. We greatly enjoyed our time with him.

This was an amazing experience with Lizette. So kind and inspiring as well as a great working knowledge of the local wineries. We had no plans to purchase any wine but it was so fantastic we did! So if you’re in Cape Town you won’t be better served by using this service.
