This tour was a lot of standing around and talking and not sightseeing some of the places on the tour we didn’t even see. It was very repetitious.

If you go on a history tour, try to go with Glenn’s group! He’s friendly and professional and a certified history nerd who loves what he does. I enjoyed his tour because it was one cohesive story from beginning to end that was easy to follow. He’s also able to recommend books and other events around town and is easy to talk to. Exceptional balance of casual and professional! Thank you Glenn!

Great experience and learned alot about the history of the witch trials. The walk was easy despite lots of people! The guide did a great job being entertaining and factual.

Good quick tour. Saw lots of spots in Salem and heard lots of stories. Quick stops at several spots we went back to go into

One major problem with this experience: there was really only one relevant location to walk to. This was the witch trial memorial. Other than this stop, our guide would just pause along the street to talk but with no real purpose to the stop. Mark was quite knowledgeable but couldn’t provide a focused narrative to engage a large group. He could not always be heard.

Extremely informative, lots of information thrown at you - guide was pretty monotone with minimal enthusiasm, but highly knowledgeable.

Our tour guide was very hard to hear. Most of her tour revolved around her personal family experiences. We did not have much time for pictures.
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Service animals allowed
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Tours depart at 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour. Check in at Salem Historical Tours Office at 8 Central Street, Salem, MA.
- Our public walking tours can pose challenges for participants with mobility and accessibility concerns. Tours are 90 minutes long and about one mile in length. Each participant must be able to complete the one-mile tour within 90 minutes, providing for frequent stops to view sites and for information from the tour guide. As Salem is a historical city, there are narrow and uneven sidewalks, bricks, cobblestones, and stairs. During events and festivals (and particularly October), with crowds and street vendors, the streets can become difficult to navigate.
- Traffic and parking can be very difficult and October is much worse with "" trafLA Levelfic. Give yourself extra time to get here and park no matter what your GPS is telling you.
