What a wonderful tour with the most wonderful lady tour guide. Highly knowledgable, passionate and super friendly. Covered everything we wanted to know.

The places we visited were very beautiful and truly reflected the unique characteristics of Bosnia. Ms. Arna was very helpful in assisting us to find good restaurants with reasonable prices, and she also helped us shop for daily necessities. In addition, we gained a lot of interesting historical knowledge from her. Although the tourist sites were very large, with Ms. Arna’s guidance it felt as though we had explored the entire area. She was also very flexible and understanding of our children’s wishes to spend extra time at certain locations. Overall, I confidently give this agency an 11/10.

I recently joined the Sarajevo Walking Tour with Meet Bosnia, and it turned out to be one of the best tours I’ve taken. I happened to be the only person in the group, which made the experience feel almost like a private, personalized tour. My guide Ahmed— a history major with excellent English — had an impressive depth of knowledge and a real passion for Sarajevo’s past. He didn’t just walk me through the sights; he explained the context, the stories, and the people behind them. From the Ottoman era to the Austro-Hungarian period and the events that shaped modern Bosnia, everything was presented clearly and thoughtfully. What I appreciated most was the personal touch. He shared local insights, answered all my questions, and adjusted the pace to my interests. It felt like exploring the city with someone who genuinely loves it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sarajevo — especially if you’re interested in history and want a meaningful introduction to the city.

Wonderful tour!!! The tour we did with Elma through the city centre was excellent, she was an exceptional and very friendly guide who enthusiastically explained to us a little of the incredible and sometimes hard history of her city. The walk through Sarajevo was incredible.

Guide was very engaging and informative. He had local knowledge and spoke from the heart. I had a much deeper understanding of the people and the city after this tour. Definitely not to be missed!

Benjamin, my guide, provided the most wonderful tour. I have been on a lot of walking tours in a lot of cities. I have to say the one provided by Benjamin was by far the best. He made the tour very informative, interesting and poignant – a big part in making me want to return this beautiful diverse city (though perhaps next time in the summer). If you’re thinking of taking this tour, do it. I cannot recommend it enough.

We did the free walking tour with Ahmed(I think that is how you spell his name, sorry if it is wrong) and we loved it! He was super nice and VERY knowledgeable on eveything. My boyfriend and I are both History postgraduate students so it was so nice to see a guide focus on the details and intricate stories of the region rather than just small pieces of pop-history. It was well worth it and don’t forget to tip the guide after you go, they deserve it! Would highly recommend (:

We had a great experience with Meet Bosnia walking tours. We took the 2-hour Old town walking tour with Ilma on a cold November day. Ilma speaks perfect English and German! She joyfully answered all of our questions about life in Bosnia, and gave an excellent detailed tour of the old town with great storytelling and a strong knowledge of history. Would definitely recommend a tour with her or probably anyone from the meet Bosnia team!
