Master Sicilian Flavors: Private Cefalù Cooking & Dine

Rosa Maria provided a fantastic overview of the history and creation of staples such as Gnocchi and fried eggplant in the context of Sicily. She welcomed us into her *beautiful* home in Cefalú; she taught us some of the basics of Sicilian home-cooked meals. She went out of her way to make us a few side dishes and a traditional, delectable dessert as well after we informed her we would not be able to stay the full time needed to make it ourselves, ensuring we were able to experience the full lesson! The lunch we enjoyed at her home was easily the best food we tasted in all of Sicily. Her locally sourced wine was the same! Not to mention the incredible view from her home overlooking Cefalú itself. Anyone looking for a more in depth understanding of Sicilian cuisine; book with Rosa Maria! A wonderful personality. 5 stars!

Graziella is a wonderful person. And she is passionate about Italian food and teaching. With a few simple ingredients, she will show you how to create a great meal. We had linguine, fried eggplant, and Tiramisu. Highly recommend. You can’t spell Graziella without Grazie! Ron

Wonderful experience for our family of 5, with ravioli, bruschetta, wine, and tiramisu! Our host Grazy was kind and gracious and a great cook and instructor and great with children. Six stars!

Graziella couldn’t have been more welcoming! We had so much fun learning how to make fresh pasta. The food she prepared separately for us was also excellent. Such an authentic Italian experience not to be missed. We love Graziella!

Rosa Maria welcomed us into her beautiful home, she was gracious and very friendly. Rosa Maria taught us to make three dishes, fresh Sicilian pasta, eggplant and tiramisu. She also shared many other her other Sicilian cooking techniques as well as the history of the food and region. We sat down to an amazing dinner that Rosa Maria complimented with other antipasti and Sicilian wine. We ate so much! She didn’t rush us through dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our experience with Rosa Maria.

What a wonderful cooking experience we had with Graziella in her home during our May trip to Sicily. The moment we walked in the door we knew we were in for a treat. We were taught to make a delicious three course meal and were able to sit and enjoy her company as we dined on our authentic homemade Italian dinner with wine. We had a beautiful evening in Graziella’s house. A very personal experience, cooking pasta with friends and family. Would definitely recommend doing this for a truly unique experience in Sicily.

This experience was one of the most special of our trip. I took the class with my Dad and Uncle and we will have this memory forever. My great grandfather was born and grew up in Sicily, and my father has a lot of special memories of cooking with my Nonni, which he shared with our host, Graziella. Graziella worked with my Dad to change one of our pasta recipes a little bit to give him some nostalgia from our family. We listened to fun music and had a beautiful ocean view and just really enjoyed the time together. Graziella is an incredible teacher and she even sent me some of the recipes so I can now make them at home with my Dad. The price was also very reasonable--we made eggplant, 2 different pastas, and Tiramisu, along with enjoying bread and wine throughout the meal. We also got to take leftovers home with us! If you are able to make time for this experience, I recommend it because it will be a special memory you'll never forget!

My wife and I had such a wonderful experience. The hospitality was second to none and the making and cooking of all the dishes was fun and carefully explained. We would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn how to cook home made Sicilian food and have fun whilst doing it with the added bonus of a great host and stunning views from the apartment
