Unforgettable Alexandria: Cairo Day Trip to Egypt's Coastal Gem

Nice tour of Alexandria. But our guide kept on chatting with the driver during the car ride, instead of explaining stuff about our surroundings. While she did answer our questions, we just feel that it could have been better if she gave an overview of the city and explained to us the surroundings we were passing by. She was knowledgeable though and answered all of our questions. The driver kept using her phone while on the highway driving at 140kph! Maybe please remind drivers not to use their cellphones while driving because this can lead to an accident...

The Tour guide meant well, but made us a little uncomfortable. He asked to hold our hand twice and to add us on facebook - we declined all times. He also tried to get in every picture with us. We didn't get to see the library because it was closed on Fridays and we weren't told that until mid tour after they said we were going. They tried not bringing us to the Mosque because it was under renovation, but we had to tell them we wanted to still go. For lunch, we said we don't eat fish and ended up at a cafe for a croissant.

My driver Khaled Mustafa is a fantastic young gentleman. He showed me the most beautiful parts of Alexandria, with very joyful and fun loving attitude. Even the music he picked are very pleasant. Having him as my driver really made the day trip very enjoyable. I highly recommend him. Thanks! Khaled!

We had a good day going to see all the sights of Alexandria. Our driver Ali Muhammad was prompt picking us up from our hotel and made sure we got everywhere we need to go, he even took us for a detour to the mall! All in all it was a great day!

First of all we booked a trip to Alexandria and we selected not only the car. We selected the car + guide + entrance fees. We paid 180 dollars, but believe me. This tour with the attractions and go to Alexandria and come back is only 7 hours maximum. With all the breaks. The entrance fees are very cheap, and the guide we had didn't know so much Spanish, niether tell you a lot of information about the places. We seems like begginer. So in conclusion we paid a lot extra for nothing. The quality price isn't good. If you want this tour I recommend to book only the car 60 dollars. Better... Alexandria is not big thing. But if you wanna see it, do that.

We did the guided tour from Cairo to Alexandria and everything was so well taken care of. The driver was on time at our hotel, could communicate well in English and the drive was smooth and safe. We met our guide of the day in Alexandria and she was also so nice and took care of us. Communication with the tour operator was amazing. Well recommended!

We had an excellent day trip to Alexandria, it was made more special and fun by Hady our driver, who was very thoughtful, knowledgeable and funny, he made the journey enjoyable and no pressure on time at the sites we visited. We went to the Citadel of Qaitbay which had wonderful coastal views of Alexandria. The mosque we visited was under restoration at the time but very beautiful from the outside. The library is very interesting it’s not just a library but holds museum exhibitions and historical artefacts. The catacombs are also interesting, much larger than you think and deep underground. You also see some Greek ruins with a large amphitheater. A great day out.
