Prakash was our guide for 2 days in Varnasi. He was highly recommended by a travel consultant, and he didn't disappoint. I established communication with him months before our trip. His English is excellent. He adjusted the tours to meet our desires. He grew up providing services to tourists in Varanasi, and has indepth knowledge of the city. He is an excellent story teller - especially of Hindu gods and their relation to the different temples and sites. We stopped periodically for drinks and food at some great local places. One of the highlights was to sit literally front and center at a huge aarti. We were 2 of 32 that got to play a role out in the ceremony of the thousands of people in attendance. About 3500 rupees per person per day (minimum 2 people) which included everything except lunch.
