I'm glad we did this tour. Really a jammed packed day but worth seeing everything we could in 1 day. Pia the tour guide was fantastic, she s knowledgeable and made sure noone got lost when we were in the market areas. Hercules cave was not the site we were exoecting to see but still a fantastic day.

The guide on the Spain side was great but once we got off the ferry it was cruise line chaos with a new guide on the Moroccan side. I will say he did well with both Spanish and English in one tour. Boarded a bus and brought around the old city.stopping at Hercules Cave (ridiculous tourist trap) no explanation from our Moroccan guide, stopped to see the camels, and then lunch and shopping in the old city. Lunch was family style and the food was not bad but again a pretty manic meal with up charges for anything to drink. Then the guide literally just brought us around to places that were designed to sell us things with little true historical significance. The city itself was crazy with vendors on the streets trying to sell things and at the end on the way back to the bus young children as well selling packages of tissues. I think for the price when you consider paying bus drivers and guides it is not over priced but overall this was a one and done for Tangier. Just too manic a visit for us.

Make sure you take cash. Our guide took us to a bunch of places where we got a sales pitch. The lunch was a let down. Not enough food and they rip you off for average drinks they keep bring to your table.

Great day trip to see Tangier. The guides were great, it is a lot to fit into one day with travel and customs. So be well rested the day before your trip. Special shout out to Pia our travel guide and companion, she made the trip absolutely enjoyable.

What to expect: We always felt safe: Tour guides from Spain Laura & Tangier are w/ you the whole time. Except the 30mins of free time in the market. There will be people approaching you all the time to buy stuff throughout. Always say No 1st & walk away as a bargaining tactic. Euros are accepted. Expect a long day: You might get back to your hotel late based on ferry being late ( they did customs to Tangier on ferry) & or traffic. We arrived back at hotel past midnight. Bring snacks & drinks. There was a charging port on the Mercedes bus to & from Tarifa. Places to see: Some of the stops seemed like tourist traps. However, chalk it up as part of the experience. Camel rides, Hercules cave (Don’t pet the Monkey! I’m still not sure why? he was cute), division of the Atlantic & Mediterranean Sea, a spice & linen merchant. Best part of the trip: The lunch & music was amazing. Food & freshly squeezed fruit juices hit the spot. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to go & feel safe

Our guide Maiden was not a guide at all, more of a babysitter. He sat at the front of the shuttle for the 2+ hours it took to drive to Tarifa saying nothing! The road was so bumpy it registered over 2000 steps on my watch each way! Maiden gave us our tickets and told us to go through security... but no other instructions from that point! Once in Morocco we were joined by a much bigger group. most of them did not speak English despite all of our group booking an English-speaking tour. Rashid was lovely but was clearly getting a cut from all the hawkers who incessantly appeared everywhere we went. The lunch was average and a scam. Food was free, drinks were not. The band asked for money, so too did the waiter, then the photographer who had followed us for the last hour presented photos we had not asked for and wanted money! The textile shop was the most professional visit we had. Camels were a waste of time, just a ride in a circle by the road. The cave too was filled with people trying to get money from you. Overall, not a good experience of Morocco, it just felt fake and like we were seen as open wallets... no real history or culture to be seen here.

The tour, once in Tangier was fine. The roads from Seville were terrible, made me sick. Also we weren’t told where to find our tour guide…just followed the people off the ferry.

Rasheed was amazing! This experience blew me away. We had a jam packed day and made it entirely so worth it.

It was a very long trip. It was not as expected as there was an accident on the road so the 6- hour trip was compressed to 2 hours including lunch. The couscous lunch at restaurant was very bad. I would rather to pay my own lunch so that I can have a decent food.

This is an all day excursion. It was worth it. The spanish guide, and the marroccan guide were amazing. Rajid was the name of the guide in Tangier. He was great. I don't remember the Spanish girl. Beautiful trip. The camel part was kind of sad. The camels are in a parking lot and they kind of take you in a loop for 20 seconds. The driver was bad in Spain. I do not recommed sitting on the back of the van or you will jump around a lot, lol. Overall felt safe, cared for, and a nice glimpse of Tangier.
