Step Back in Time: Roman Tarragona's Unforgettable 2-Hour Tour

I had a great experience on this tour! The guide (Miguel) was very knowledgeable and made the history of the city come to life.

Beautiful place with fantastic history. Our guide was so knowledgeable with loads of fact and some fun story to share. We got to see and walk across the top of the aqua duck, visit the gorgeous cathedral and see the remains of the gladiator circle.

We joined a Spanish language tour (we are both Spanish-speakers) and thought the wide range of sites and contextual information very good value for money. Our group was about 25 strong. Some explanations were a little lengthy and the visit to the cathedral seemed superfluous for a Roman tour (although it was built on the site of the Roman temple and was interesting in general terms). Would definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure to join a small guided group during Christmas. My guide, Georgia, is TOP-TOP: I liked her explanations, the way she guided us throught the small streets, the knowledge she has as professional guide. All in all, I do recommend ITINERE if you ever visit this city. And I am sure that if I ever come back to Tarragona, I will no doubt, choose ITINERE again. Thanks for an enjoyable 2h30! The tour was filled with very useful contextual information, anecdotes and attention to always explaining where we were standing (compared to the antic city of Tarraco). We looked for an English Speaking tour. None around. Our tour guide was clearly detailed and thorough in his presentation. Just didn’t work for us.

What started out as a disaster due to a booking foul up on the website - selling us an English language tour when no such tour was offered by the tour company - turned into a tour de force of Tarragona history conducted personally by Xavier, the company’s manager, who was determined to make sure that we were not left disappointed. Poor integrator sales support - but terrific tour - thank you

Last Thursday, September 25, 2025 we took a guided tour of Tarragona with Itinere. We really enjoyed the explanations of the guide, the Roman past of the city and rediscovering the city. They have radio guides that made it easy for us not to miss anything they told us. We would definitely repeat a visit.
