Andes Volcano Majesty: Maipo Canyon Full-Day Adventure

Great day hiking in the Andes. 10/10 The hike was challenging but worth it. This was my first time in Chile and I am so happy that I did this hike to experience the views and learn more about this beautiful mountain range.

This was my favorite day trip I have ever done! Elias was an amazing guide and getting to experience the Andes with him and my small group was amazing. The nature was stunning - we only saw 4 other people over the course of those hours of hiking. It took 20-30 minutes to adjust to the altitude at the start of the hike. Drink lots of water before you go! If you enjoy the outdoors and gorgeous mountainscapes I highly recommend this tour.

Went on a hike with a mixed group of people, starting fairly early in the morning with a hotel pickup. It took a little over an hour to get there, but the ride wasn't bad, especially considering it was in the mountains. Once we got there they fitted everyone with snowshoes, and we took off shortly afterwards. It is listed as a hike, but it is not too strenuous (I am in decent shape and had no issue at all and did not find it physically challenging). The guides were great and very informative, and spoke English, Spanish and Portuguese. The lunch at the river was serene and relaxing, and the quietude of the place was amazing. You get back the way that you came, with a celebratory snack and wine at the end. Be sure and look for condors near the cliff wall when you return, they are very graceful birds when you see then gliding.

Excellent trip to the Andes. If you are short on time, or short on confidence this is an excellent taster of the Andes. The guide was lovely, the pace was easy, and the location was stunning.

Timely pickup, very friendly staff, Andres was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide with many interesting details of the wildlife, flora, geography, Chilean culture and economy. The hike itself was not very strenuous but was incredibly beautiful and just the right duration. The packed lunch was not fancy but was very good and they surprised in the end with cheese, fruit and local Chilean wine.I even loved their playlist of the music they played in the van!

Really enjoyed this hike! Beautiful scenery and really great guides. Lise and Laura were fantastic guides. Walking in snow boots was a new experience and an incredible one at that! It was tough going but so worthwhile. Great for a solo traveller
