Rio's Ultimate Full-Day: Christ, Sugarloaf & Selarón

An intense day trip but definitely worth it! This is the perfect way to see Rio's main sights. The tour well well organised and Igor Roger was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this package, the tour guide Juilia was very knowledgeable, we saw Sugar loaf, cable car ride, forrest, Selaron stairs, and Christ the redeemer. It was an amazing day with lots to see and do. There will be plenty of stops to buy souvenirs, my favorite stop was the gift shop for Christ the Redeemer. I got a few shirts 👕 to take back home. You will ride in vans up to the statue, to reach the top, you must either walk up 220 steps or take the elevator with a huge line. Despite my asthma I took the steps. It felt incredible reaching the top. We also made a stop for lunch at a buffet it was okay. The Gelato at Sugar loaf was some of the best I've ever had. Guava and cheese Gelato and coconut. Chefs kiss. We were all worn out when it was time to go back to our hotels.

Our guide Lorraine was super helpful, informative, and friendly, giving us clear guidance on how much free time we had at each stop. Despite the crowds (and weather) access to the major sites - sugar loaf and Christ the Redeemer - was well managed by the local teams. Seleron steps was overrun with tourists but accessible as was the unusual Cathedral of San Sebastien. The only negatives on the day was one of our party were robbed - a buttoned back pocket is no barrier - and the lunch venue. The latter was a buffet rammed with tourists and locals. If we had known of rather use one of the other restaurants in the area; the place felt dirty and the only assuredly safe food was various cuts of meat prepared on the grills at the back of the restaurant.

Due to the heavy rain of these days in Rio, I have postponed the tour twice as suggested by agent Julia. Finally we decided to go on the same day which we have late night flight back to US. They allowed us to bring luggage on to the tour bus and go to the airport directly after the tour. Unfortunately our flight got cancelled due to ice storm in US. I have to rebook flight and hotel. Our tour guide Cassio understood our problem and helped dropping us to the new hotel. During our tour, Cassio speaks fluent English and Spanish. He helped elder guests to the priority line and elevator. He is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Brazil and Rio. We enjoyed our tour very much even though we got into the flight cancellations in middle of the tour and the weather is not as good as expected. Thank you!
