VIP Romania: Private Turda Salt Mine & Alba Fortress Tour

Unexpected visit in this old Salt Mine, absolutely impressive with his dimetions. Very fresh when it's hot outside

An excellent trip with our guide Llona. Picked up on time at the hotel, and then the long drive to the Alba fortress. Spent some time there with the very knowledgebale llona. Had refreshments there. Then on the way back stopped for lunch at the beautiful village and then on to the salt mine. However when we reached Salina Turda it was already 3:30 pm but we did manage to spend time there. We did not have time for the boat ride as there was a long queue. Overall a nice trip with a nice friendly guide who was very accommodating to all our requests

Let me begin by saying our trip started on a very rainy day and we did not have high hopes but our tour guide, Roxanna, was incredibly thoughtful. She payed attention to every detail, from offering up an umbrella to making reservations at a restaurant for a late lunch after we got stuck in traffic. The tour itself could not have been more amazing. The Turda Salt Mine is impressive and Alba Carolina Fortress is beautiful. This tour is a must for everyone visiting Romania!

It was a lovely experience you should def buy salt from there it is very healthy for the organism too.

Ilona Farkas made our day trip more exciting with her knowledge and positive attitude! She speaks English very well and has very good knowledge of Transylvania.

The day started off with a prompt pick up from my Hotel. Roxana was my guide and the day was such a pleasure! The amount of knowledge Roxana shared was great! A great overview of the History of Romania while driving, and deep information of each location visited. I highly recommend if you have the time. Bring a Camera as each site has soooo much to take in!!!!

Recently my Brother and I took this trip with a Brilliant Tour Guide named Florin Merciu. We spent an enchanting day with The Most Knowledgeable of Guides in this Beautiful part of Translyvania. The Sight's were fantasic, the Weather was Brilliant and the information and knowledge that Florin imparted to us was unbelievable. His easy manner and laidbacked nature made gaining the History of this Tour so enjoyable. Would recommend highly. We also did a Daytrip to Sighasora which was equally Brilliant. Thank You Florin Merciu and we hopefully will do another trip in the future!!

Loved this attraction, huge area. Beware tricky slippery steps in places and very tight passing other visitors. Shame they have turned the interior into a 1970’s fun fair and all the stalls outside selling tat. But this seems to be commonplace. That aside I highly recommend a visit here.

Strongly recommend Rolandia for your days out - we had a few problems regarding numbers travelling, prior to departure, which Nicu adjusted and sorted out . The actual tour was fabulous - nothing was too much trouble for our guide losuf, who was very knowledgeable regarding both ancient and modern history. He speaks several languages and is a nice guy too. all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - dont miss it.

If you are in Cluj, you must go to see. Incredible this salt mine!! Its really near Cluj, just one bus to Turda.
