Discover two of Transylvania's most stunning castles on this day-long adventure: Bran Castle, a 13th-century hilltop fortress known as "Dracula's Castle," and Peles Castle, a masterpiece of Neo-Renaissance architecture. On this day trip, you'll be ferried by climate-controlled bus to both landmarks, and will also have the chance to wander the medieval city of Brasov. Please note: Peleș Castle will be closed for general cleaning and preventive conservation from November 3 to December 2, 2025. If time allows and you’d like to, you can visit Pelișor Castle instead — it’s right nearby! Otherwise, you’ll still have some free time around Peleș Castle to stroll through the beautiful area and snap some postcard-perfect photos.

We had an amazing time on this tour! The highlight of the trip was definitely our tour guide Mr. Lucian — two thumbs up! 👏 He was knowledgeable, approachable, and very informative. The travel time getting there took quite a while because of traffic and the roads were mostly one lane, but it was all worth it in the end. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone! 😉

It was a beautiful experience with a lot of things to see and learn. It would be better if the tickets for the castles were included.

I had a great day and would recommend it to anyone without mobility issues as there are a lot of steep hills. Comfortable foot wear is a must. Be prepared for traffic and queues. Take drinks and something to eat with you. Ensure you have bought your ticket for Peles in advance at the 09.00 slot if it your first stop, it can you used later if the traffic is very bad. Bran you can book on the day if going there later, but book the full experience as it is worth it

A very long day and long queue for both the castles. Surprising for a small castle or maybe due to its famous history. The tour guide is patient and try to comfort the group, suggesting additional time and late return. The security guard of the castles should help to control the crowds and to ensure walk in visitors followed the queue and not jumped queue. Really tiring tour, long day.

Ana, the tour guide was helpful and informed us of trivia about the places on the way. Bus driver, George drove the vehicle safely too. The trip started and ended on time.

We had a great experience with this tour. Although a long tour (13 hours), it was on a comfortable bus with a knowledgeable guise and a driver who was always safe. Long bus rides and long lines were inevitable but the guide was always making sure we were taken care of, with plenty of personal time to explore on our own. It was a good overall experience.

It was a long cold day. It was 6+ hrs of bus ride, over an hr standing in line in the rain. Peles and Brasov is very worth doing, but it definetly isn't a skip the line for. Be sure to purchase your tickets before you go. Peles can sell out. We couldn't hear the guide at times because we couldn't fit in the same room. We had audio devices, but only used them on the bus. It would have been perfect in the castle. We listened to the guide from the tour behind us because we could hear him and he was a bit easier to understand.

Great itinerary, well organized and Ana was an engaging tour guide. Highly recommend to anyone interested in coming to Romania.

This was the best day trip to get out of bucharest. It's a long, long journey (15 hrs total) but the views are stunning. Anna was great, and there were plenty of breaks. Anna had great food/ticket recommendations. I recommend buying the tickets in advance for both.

What should have been a great trip turned into a day of chasing time. Our tour guide Angelica was lovely, but we wasted time waiting for people who didn't arrive for the tour or who were late returning to the bus, we were stuck in random traffic multiple times and we experienced a power cut as we were about to enter Peles Castle which meant we had to return at the end of our tour. We had about 20mins in Brasov which I was very disappointed about; we were supposed to have lunch here, but we were not given the opportunity due to time constraints. So overall we spent more time on the bus than doing anything else. Thankfully it was comfortable! There just wasn't any flexibility to coordinate things differently.
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Entrance tickets are not included in the tour price, so we recommend purchasing them in advance as they sell out quickly. Please select a time slot between 9–11 AM (or the one from 11AM) for Peleș Castle, and 3 PM for Bran (Dracula’s) Castle.
- Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and can only be visited from the outside on these days.
- Bran Castle may sometimes be visited after Brasov, depending on traffic conditions and opening hours.
- Children under 4 years old cannot attend shared tours.
- In the event of heavy traffic or force majeure situations, the tour may take longer than expected.
- IMPORTANT: Peleș Castle will be closed for general cleaning and preventive conservation from November 3 to December 2, 2025. If time allows and you’d like to, you can visit Pelișor Castle instead — it’s right nearby and definitely worth seeing! Otherwise, you’ll still have some free time around Peleș Castle to stroll through the beautiful area and snap some postcard-perfect photos.
