The tour was really amazing and consisted of way more than just the salt flats. It had a lot of beautiful surprises. The second night is however on a place with only power from 19:00-22:00 so it will be freezingly cold (so bring warm clothes for the night). The guide Orlando and the driver Gabriël were really nice, helpful and really did their best for us. All considered a really nice experience.

I had a great experience with Perla De Bolivia. They provide us the best tour in my 6 weeks trip in South America. Everywhere they brought us was fantastic. Marcia, our tour guide was not only speaking good English, her knowledge and personality are brilliant. Always takes care of us well. Also she gave us honest information about the facility of the accommodation. She was trying to make our trip the best all the time. Additionally, I have to mention the driver as well. I couldn't communicate with him enough because I don't speak Spanish, but I can feel he is so kind. when I was taking the photos from inside of the car, he slowed down to help me take a good shot. I took a lot of tours on my trip in South America. This is definitely the best experience for me. If you are a nature person. this is for you. Great nature, Great people. This tour made me a big fan of Bolivia!! Muchas Garcias Peria De Bolivia!!

Recently I visited Colombia, Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil. From La Paz I flew to Uyuni the Salt Flats one of the most amazing place I ever visited. A place where the salt flats and the sky meets. It’s so beautiful it’s hard to describe

Pretty disappointed in the service of this tour. Firstly, we were told there would be a maximum of 6 people but ended up in a group of 11. The tour started by one of those guests being late because she wanted to take a shower. Rather than letting the rest of us start the tour, or telling her she missed her tour, we were left to sit in the car for an hour. Only after I got frustrated and raised my voice did we finally left. Totally disorganized and unprofessional from the very start. Then ever single stop on the tour felt rushed and the guide was more interesting in walking away quickly and, I kid you not, trying to box with all the guests. He almost never gave information and when I directly asked him a question he just started singing "feliz navidad" at me. Seriously. I'm fairly certain he was under the influence of drugs during the trip. Further, the guide made people, especially some of the women on the trip, feel quite uncomfortable. The tour is also extremely overpriced considering Bolivia. I've called this country home for several years and never before have I seen this type of inflated prices. One night we were made to pay 140 Bs (about $14-20) to open the bathroom in our room. That's literally more than many people earn for a days work in this country. The tour company has deals with these places and collude to take advantage of tourists. You'll spend 3 days being nickel and dimed. They don't even give you water other than with lunch or dinner, and then it's 2L split between a whole table. The accomodations were also extremely spartan considering the price paid. They don't tell you that you'll struggle to take a warm shower or that, in one place, you only get 3 hours of electricity, with zero places to charge your phone. Oh, and at dinner at 7:45 they'll tell you "showers work until 8:30!" The tour was disorganized and poorly managed. The company is running s tourist racket and they know it. I'm absolutely sure you can do better with other companies. The only reason this is two stars is that the driver was excellent and drove very safely (probably still shell shocked from their accident detailed in other reviews below.) Also, the places you visit are so beautiful they're worth a star alone. Long story short, you can definitely do better with another company and I do not recommend Pearla de Bolivia... ...unless you want to learn how to sing "feliz navidad".

This was a very cookie cutter tour. Our guide seemed to be very confused about next steps and we were never really assured what was the next step. Our guide needed a mentor or to learn to lead in an assistant role. Our vehicles had mechanical issues and the drivers and guides seemed to be very stressed about this. The bald tires and constant mechanical issues gave me the feeling that the vehicles received little maintenance or infrequent safety inspections. The tour itself was really great. They took us to some amazingly beautiful spots. The 1st night hostel was absolutely superb. The 2nd night was sub par. Food was only okay.

Fantastic scenery in a well organized trip. We got to see everything we wanted and started/ended on time. Our guide, Bismarck, had excellent English and knew a ton regarding the local geology, flora, and fauna. The transports (Toyota Landcruisers) were comfortable without issue (but it does happen! 25% chance a wheel goes flat), the food was delicious, and the accommodations were mostly good. Thank you to Raul for being a great driver. The last morning was a bit rough, waking up at 4 AM so we could drop people off at the Chile border to go to San Pedro. Overall a great trip though. A few people here are very picky with their 1-star reviews.. you are in the middle of the Bolivian desert..

We booked a 3 day / 2 night salt flat tour through Find Local Trips, and Perla de Bolivia was the operator they used. Be aware there is a lot of time spent driving - there’s no other way to cover such large distances. We made lots of different stops and we saw fantastic things including lagoons, flamingos, & volcanoes. What we liked: • The accommodation was better than expected - hot showers and warm beds with blankets. • The jeeps were comfortable with good, safe drivers and heaters for cold mornings. • It was easy to transfer to San Pedro de Atacama instead of going back to Uyuni. What we didn’t like: • We couldn’t get a response to our questions over email, and had to visit the office in-person instead. • The food was ok, but we would suggest bringing some of your own snacks too. • Some of the stops felt a bit rushed, we would only have 5-10 minutes before we had to get back in the car. • Our only genuine complaint was when our guide suggested that if nobody was looking, we could leave the path to get close to the flamingos for a photo. We would rather that they promote responsible tourism so that the animals aren’t disturbed and places don’t get ruined!

Fantastic tour! I did the 3 day 2 nights in Salar de Uyuni from La Paz and everything went wonderfully. It started with the smooth booking process and the fact that I was allowed to postpone my tour by a day when I adjusted my planning. Then my bus from La Paz was organized as well, also went smoothly and was comfortable. I met my fellow travellers on and before getting on the bus and even was able to help a couple to book this tour super last minute. Also without problems. We were picked up a few hours after we arrived in Uyuni, but completely according to schedule. Our guide Marcia was fantastic. With great English, positive attitude, being able to answer all kinds of questions, good explanations and even extra explanations about star watching for instance. Our driver José was impeccable. Being able to drive perfectly over all these tough roads is no small task. He drove safely, but also very comfortably. The itinerary is probably similar to other tours, but still was great. We saw many different locations and biomes. Both sleeping locations were way more comfortable than some people online made them out to be. Despite the need of having to wake up early, I slept very well. The food was also fine, with one personal minus point, that I was missing some spices or salsa picante at times. The ingredients all had high quality though! All in all an amazing experience.

One of the best tours I have ever been on. We saw and did so much across the 3 days. Our tour guide Ronaldo was professional and organised. He made sure we had adequate amount of time at each place and that we moved on when needed, without it feeling rushed or pressured. His English was great, his knowledge of each place was incredible abd his love for Bolivia was lovely to see. Our drivers Raulacho and Santos porfidio did a great job of loading and unloading our stuff promptly and carefully. They were both safe and friendly drivers. The food and drink provided was good and there were opportunities to pick up extra snacks and drinks along the way. The first night accommodation was great and as expected, the 2nd night was a little more basic and cold, but extra blankets were offered and I rented a sleeping bag which did the job!

We had a great time (3D/2N) with our guide Ronaldo! He speaks very good english and explains everything very well. Every night he told us what we could expect the next day. And he had a great sense of humor. The nature and variety of landscapes were amazing. The first hostel was really good with amazing hot shower. The second hostel was a bit less. It was very cold, but we could get extra blankets. And electricity went out in the night. There was a variety of food in the tour and all tasted well. Although the second hostel took a long time to prepare the food. I think the portions of the food could be a bit larger.
