Absolutely loved both places, and by no means is this Viator or the companies fault but there was a family with 3 kids screaming for 2 hours i guess don’t understand why you would think taking 3 kids under the age of 5 on a 11 hour tour is ok and if you want to then you should do a private tour!! Or there should be age restrictions on some of these tours and i have seen some with age restrictions!!

Assisi and Orvieto were both beautiful. However, it would be better to split the trips into two separate excursions. We had only one hour in Orvieto and didn't arrive until 5:00PM! Also, the guide in Assisi was excellent. However, the overall guide (Marina) didn't introduce herself to the group and didn't stress timeliness in returning to the meeting point. This resulted in arriving late to Orvieto and our return to Florence. She needs to be firmer in her communication. Lovely lady though, very friendly.

Don’t miss the cathedral, skip the tour and lunch. Countryside is beautiful. Shopping is good. Constantine was great!

In a 12.5 hour tour we were on the bus 6.5 hours. The listing said the trip to Orvieto was 1.5 hours and the trip from Florence to Assisi was 1.5 hours. In reality the trip we from Florence to Orvieto was 2 hours, from Orvieto to Assisi 2 hours and Assisi to Florence 2.5 hours. We had 2.5 hours of free time (no tour) in Orvieto. We did an audio tour of the Duomo. Our bus tour guide was not aware of there was an audio guide for the Duomo. Our tour guide in Assis was very good, very informative and easy to understand. We were in Assis for 2.5 hours with no free time. A full day in Assisi would be a better option or maybe a day trip from Rome.

The tour guide did her best but I wish she was ready to give answers to our other tour related questions.

I had wanted to visit Assisi, and had planned on taking a train or bus and staying a few days. There is NO WAY that would have worked, and would have cost far more and have been a lot more work sto see and accomplish all I did in just one day. Got to see three saints (four, if you count our guide, Jacobo…) All in all, a very enjoyable trip. I’m looking forward to booking at least a couple more before I leave Firenze.

My wife and I bought a trip from a fraudulent vendor from Expedia. Ciao Florence had staff there to explain that someone set a fraudulent site. They offered to sell me a last-minute trip matching what my wife and I wanted. They accommodated my wife's walking difficulty by allowing us to skip portions of the trip. While we would have preferred to do the whole trip, we still enjoyed ourselves and were able to soak the atmosphere of both towns.

Our group leader Lucy was fantastic, very knowledgeable, personable and helpful. The local guide was very knowledgeable. I do think the day was a bit long. I wasn't really interested in Ovieto, while picturesque I would have preferred to have skipped that 2 hours and had a shorter day. Additionally, if the bus has room for bottled water that would be wonderful if they could sell that on the bus, as was done on other tours I took after this.

Yikes! Boarded the small bus to find out our tour was in English and Spanish. I booked English and there was no Spanish mentioned. I guess once you are there and on the Bus, its too bad, deal with it ! It did take double time !!!! The small bus was driven by the mad hatter. Took the turns like a crazy man way too fast. We walked with our guide to the middle of Orvieto And she said be back at 12:30 a map would have been helpful. It’s ok as we enjoyed our time there. Off to Assisi again bouncing along and then handed off to a local guide. She was knowledgeable and personable, just tooo much talking. We got 15 minutes to grab a snack ( gelato) and buy something after the lengthy tour. It was a slap in the face to the merchants and to us, as she knew we wanted to buy something about St. Francis. Alot of us were not happy!!! The guide met us and took off, she could have cared less if we followed or kept up . Back on the Bus for the wild ride to Florence. Took forever as driver pulled if highway due to an accident and we bumped and flew through the hills. It was after 8:00pm when we got back. Not a normal Viator tour. Neither the driver or the guide should be doing this tour. I have never complained on a tour we took by Viator, but this was a Mess!!! Victoria and Richard Wilson
