I’ve just come back from a fantastic trip to Disneyland Paris, and it was all thanks to the YouTube channel Magically Different Mouse (you can just search that name on YouTube — it’s easy to find!). Their videos are so helpful, especially for people with disabilities or access needs. They explain everything clearly, from rides and accessibility passes to where to eat and how to plan your day. Thanks to their advice, my trip went so smoothly — I felt prepared and confident the whole time. I honestly can’t recommend them enough for anyone visiting Disneyland Paris, especially if you or someone in your group is disabled. They really make Disney magic feel possible for everyone! Even before the trip watching there fun and informative videos helped get my family really excited about the trip

Using an app for everything is just monotonous! Its a personal thing I know, but in an age where we want kids to get off their phones, and the irony is having to book EVERYTHING via an app is lost on me!

Visited ED for the 2nd time to support my sister & learning disability godson, who has mobility issues. Our first visit 6years ago allowed his special pass immediate access to all the rides. This year it had changed , and he was deemed able to join the lines with those that had priority passes, however, these cues themselves could be lengthy, causing our friend to become fractious , and complain of sore legs with standing. We even had to wait in a cue to get his special pass. Why has the system changed ? The fast foods within the park are awful & pretty expensive. Despite my gripes , we had a great time within the park, & once our friend got on the rides he had a blast.

It's tacky, the system of ride allocation - you i’m faced with upgrading to a premium experience or essentially waiting an hour for each ride. Even when you do upgrade you’re limited to how many times you can go on a particular ride the food around the grounds is absolutely diabolical. It would be an insult to call it fast foodit’s just cheap rubbish. You cannot get anything decent to eat. I would not and cannot recommend this place in any way, shape or form.

We recently returned from a 4-night stay at Disneyland Paris. Overall, we had a great time, and the park itself is fantastic — some rides even outshine their Orlando counterparts. However, a few things consistently reminded us that this isn’t quite the same “Disney” experience you get elsewhere. Park & Attractions: The rides are the real highlight. Some have a unique spin compared to other parks, and the theming is still very immersive. Tower of Terror is a favourite — my daughter had been hoping to get Bastian again as our elevator operator, who was incredible during our visit last year. His fun comments and interactions really added magic to the ride. Sadly, he was on queue duty this year and no one quite matched that level of energy. Cast Members: Service was a bit of a mixed bag. While there were a few warm and memorable cast members, the majority came across as disengaged — just doing the job, with little of the Disney magic you'd expect. We did have a few lovely moments: A Cast Member in the shop behind the castle called my daughter "Princess" — the only one in the park to do so. He helped a customer in front of us with information about pins. A kind lady clearing tables at Sequoia Lodge breakfast and a friendly manager (we think) who called my daughter “Little Stitch” when he saw her t-shirt — she loved that. These small interactions made a big difference, and we wish there had been more of them. 📸 Character Meet & Greets: Meeting characters was a frustrating experience. The official meet-and-greet windows are limited (generally 10am–2pm), and popular characters like Stitch always had long queues. We stumbled upon Jack and Sally one day but couldn’t join the queue because it required a virtual reservation — something we didn’t know you could only book once inside the park. That kind of system is fine in theory, but not practical when availability disappears so quickly. There really need to be more opportunities to meet characters throughout the full park hours. It just doesn’t compare to the accessibility and spontaneity of Orlando in this regard. Food & Dining: Food across the resort was underwhelming. Nearly everything we ate — even at the first sitting of buffets — was lukewarm and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The only hot, enjoyable meal we had was at Earl of Sandwich. Breakfasts, especially at Sequoia Lodge, could use more variety. Fruit options were disappointing — what was available looked like tinned fruit poured into bowls, not fresh. Restaurant flow and layout also need improvement. PYM’s Kitchen, for example, was chaotic, with guests crossing over one another trying to access starters, desserts, and the kids’ section. Smoking in the Parks: Another major letdown was the constant disregard for smoking rules. There are designated smoking areas in the park, but they are widely ignored — and worse, completely unchallenged by staff. It’s unacceptable to have children walking through clouds of cigarette smoke and vape trails, especially in supposedly non-smoking zones. This really took away from the family-friendly atmosphere and needs to be properly enforced. Final Thoughts: Disneyland Paris is still a fun way to get your theme park fix, especially if you're based in Europe. The rides are fantastic, and we made great memories. But overall, it lacks the consistency, service quality, and immersive Disney “magic” you find in places like Orlando. More attentive staff, better food, proper enforcement of park rules, and expanded character interaction opportunities would make a huge difference. Would We Return? Possibly — for the rides and convenience. But we’d go with managed expectations and be ready for an experience that feels more like a theme park than a true Disney resort.

Our third trip to DLP and it never disappoints. We went for the halloween festival this time around and would definately do that again. A large part of the village/parks are under construction but it didn't ruin the magic for us. Had a brilliant time and got on everything we wanted.

My 7 year old granddaughter and I had a wonderful time in our three days there. Staff were friendly and helpful. We pretty much stayed in Storybook Land. She wasn't interested in any fast or scary rides (to be honest, neither was I). My only complaint was with the train ride. We waited for 46 minutes for a train, a total waste of time. If the train is a 25 minute ride, where was it for 20 minutes? I asked and got some canned response.

The magic.. of queuing. Let's face it. Disneyland Europe is still by far the most beautiful amusement park in Europe. No doubt. There is so much brilliant detail everywhere. The pirate ship, the pirate coves, the dragon in the pink castle, the village, the Tie Fighter in the Star Wars zone, the Space Mountain, The Indiana Jones area, the spacecraft in the Stark Industries area.. So much of the park is brilliant, and also well maintained. So on all that - 3 thumbs up, not 2. But then we come to the one thing, where it all goes so wrong. The amount of guests vs the amount of rides. In September, about 6 rides were offline. We expected in weekdays not a too big crowd, but still, the park is filled with people. Waiting queues of 40-100 minutes are very common. You could of course take out your wallet, and pay big time (125 euro per person per day) to skip those queues and start riding within 10 minutes. But that 125 euro comes above the 149 euro gate price. That's a hefty price for a "commoner" visitor. It seems Disney is not upholding to its own storyline, and battle for the common people. They seem to especially care for those willing to spend big money in their parks. We've spotted a lot of "dark" characters - people with lots of money and not much respect to others - there. It's not a healthy trend. Disney should really ensure that queues are not going over 30-40 minutes for any ride. And that people with fast passes get no more than 70% reduction. So the common queue is 30 minutes, then the fast pass should be 10 minutes. The common queue is 45 minutes, then the fast pass is 15. Now a so called paratrooper queue of 35 minutes, became 70 (!) minutes, because they kept letting fast passers go in and in and in. They had to wait 5(!) minutes each flight. Not fair.

This park is easy to access from the Disney hotels, on arrival there is security and bag searches then tickets so it can take a bit of time to enter the park. However, once in that’s when it becomes magical. There are lots of rides, characters and shows. We had dinner in the spur steak house. We had a gentleman in a wheelchair with us and they were very accommodating. Food was presented well and tasted amazing. Would recommend this restaurant. The only negative about our stay, was the lack of characters we were able to meet and greet compared to our last visit a few years back. We had the access pass, and on the first day we went excitedly over to the first character we saw, to be told they were full for the day. We wasn't explained when we got our excess pass from our hotel that it had changed and we couldn’t just turn up to the characters now, it was a booking system. We were explained by a lovely staff member, Harriett who was with ‘Daisy’ that we needed to be at the park by 8.30am to pre book the characters for the day. Well when we have a person who is wheelchair bound in our party, this just isn’t possible. So sadly he had to miss out on meeting most of the characters he was really excited to meet. We only met 2 in the actual park, and 2 at the hotel. Compared to the 12 we met last time, we felt very let down. The meet and greet is the highlight of our visit, due to not being able to access many rides. This brings me to the next point. I understand that rides closed for maintenance can’t be helped, however when there is only 5 a person wheelchair bound is able to access, 3 being down at the same time wasn’t great. The fireworks and parade were awesome. We made the best we could, but was very excited to come back. But we won’t be in a rush to return. Personally, we feel the access passes need review on a better way to work it.
