The Hop-On buses have pretty much become a staple of our travels, since they make it easy and efficient to check out all the major sites and see if there's any you want to explore further. In Milan there were 4 routes, so it was especially helpful as we shifted from line to line. For the price it was worth it. I sometimes am able to get a hotel near one of the stops, which make it easier to access. Booking ahead makes it easier than doing it on the fly as well, given the number of folks going on and off. They provide you a little headset that you can use to listen in and find out what you are looking at. Top level front gives you a heck of a front on view if you can snag it.

The contents of the information provided during the trip is extremely poor. Just mentions of the objects on the way, even if they are not yet seen by passengers. Repetition of the same templates and identical phrases on all the routes. Total disaster, if you expect to get some information. Have seen many passengers falling asleep during the tour. Unacceptable.

Very difficult to find out how green line works or if it works at all. Get the app helped. This is good way to get around and get to know Milan and the landmarks.

Covers a large area and a great overview. Terrific view and support from staff. We did not have a commentary of the area.

A good way of seeing some of the city if you have limited time. Audio helps to give info and history of areas. Good value and can take up a day if you want

It was great.one suggestion, on rainy days either have paper towels to wipe seats or squeegy..other than that great!

If you are adventurous you can use the train system. The service was sporadic (every 30 minutos or so) and sometimes not clear. I have taken other city tours (same service) in other cities and it has been much better.

Disappointed with aspects of the tour to be honest. The app 'real time' bus definitely wasnt in sync with the actual bus as it often arrived much earlier or later than scheduled. Twice we abandoned our wait and decided it would be quicker to start walking as we didnt trust the ever changing times we were getting. Our initial start for us was at the Milano Central stop, which we expected to be busy but it was manic. There was a scrum to get on the bus with no order at all. My biggest gripe with the day was that two of the scheduled stops we had hoped to get off at on the blue line San Babilo and another one but the bus never actually stopped there. There was also no announcements of what stop the bus was actual stopping at. So you were trying to gauge where u were. Especially at more obscure stops with no obvious tourist sites like the Duomo to guide you. While its a pleasant way to get around the city and the bus is nice and air conditioned. I was left slightly disappointed with it. Not the best run tour if honest
