Authentic Thai Market Magic: Train Track & Floating Tour
This tour will bring you to the Maeklong Railway Market (umbrella pulldown market) by local train and then continue to visit Damnoensaduak Floating Market. This is often considered the most famous floating market in Thailand. Recommend : The early morning 6.00 am and 6.30 am will be better option for less tourist and more time in both market.

A lot of tourists and a lot of time spend in the van. Fun activity and worth doing just one time. Nice to arrive at the market by train with everyone having fun and waiving. Super nice guide.

Our Railway Market and Floating Market tour in Thailand was a fun and memorable experience with an informative and friendly guide who taught us a lot about Thai history and culture. Riding the old train to the railway market felt like going back in time, and it was exciting to see the crowded shops, take photos, and buy souvenirs. The floating market was amazing, with skilled boat drivers, delicious coconut sticky rice, and a funny, unique ride past the stalls, even with a bit of rain at the end. Overall, the tour was one of a kind with great food, sights, and an amazing guide, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Thailand.

A fabulous, fun experience. Booked through Viator. Patty our guide was excellent. Thank you. You are so knowledgeable. Loved the experience of being on a boat flying through the floating market and the market that the train goes through the middle of.

Patty our Viator guide was brilliant. Gave us the best possible experience. She had pre- prepared laminated cards, showing the plan for our day. Very knowledgeable about everywhere we went.Able to show the driver short cuts so that we didn’t waste time in traffic jams.Taken to a railway station we wouldn’t have found ourselves. We experienced being on the train driving through the middle of the market and then got off the train, watched it drive through the market( and had the best possible view of this thanks to Patty. Onto the floating market, didn’t expect so many to boats going around the market. Also, so many different products bring sold on the floating market. Great memories made. Thank you Party

Overall I would say it’s a tour worth doing if you want a train ride, markets and boat trip. A couple of things though, the train was heavily crowded, the train market is very difficult to move round and you don’t get much time maybe half an hour, you get about 40/45 minutes of free time at the floating markets and the boat ride is around half an hour which is good. Our tour guide was excellent and he was very organised and clear with his instructions. The food he recommended was also excellent. I’d book this tour if you want to see the basics of the markets and the train!

That the travel time far exceeds the actual tour. There is no time to shop and you are not returns to the location you are picked up. Also it is not a half day tour, it is 7-8 hours. Our tour guide tried to make the tour enjoyable and she was wonderful but could t get past 4 1/2 hours in a vehicle for a 2 hr tour.

Tanya was a great guide. She explained all details, answered our questions and made our trip very joyful. Picking up from the hotel was easy and comfortable. Also thanks to our driver and other people in the group to be on-time and easy-going. Strongly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Bangkok.

We had a fantastic day! Really well run tour, riding the train through the skinny market, then being in the market as the train went by was incredible. The floating markets are very touristy but we still loved the experience & lunch was delicious. It would have been great if our tour guide Victor gave us more history about both places, but he was great otherwise. If you don’t mind tourists, definitely recommend!

We had a great time on the railway and floating market tour in Thailand. Our guide, Mr. Nod, was very friendly and gave us excellent recommendations throughout the day. Both markets were fun and interesting to visit, and we especially loved the coconut pancakes he suggested, they were amazing. The tour was well planned, smooth, and very well done overall. Definitely recommended.
