Taj Mahal, Tigers & Jaipur: Ultimate Private India Safari

Everything was great! DK is the tiger king and best driver you could ask for (& he always has the best snacks and cold water). With out him we never would have seen the 4 tigers we saw on the safari in Ranthambhore. The guide in Delhi was also great and made the tours feel very personalized to us. Definitely recommend this tour group to anyone looking to experience India with the experts! Definitely a great value for the cost. Battilal at the Tigress was also an awesome waiter, great drinks and great service at the hotel restaurant!!

This is our first trip to India and we were very apprehensive. PCTI was great. They made everything so easy for us. I have some issues with my knees and they were very attentive and helpful. The guides and driver were the best! Our driver DK Sharma went above and beyond for us. I can’t say enough good things about him. We would highly recommend this company to anyone.

This was a high quality tour which is good value. It was well organized, and everything ran smoothly throughput. The guides and driver were very knowledgeable and all spoke good English. I picked the 4 star hotel option and all of the hotels were very good. I personalized my trip by adding Jodhpur, which was quickly accommodated. Prior to the trip, communication with Shakul was easy and he is very responsive. My driver was Prem and I was lucky to have him for the entire trip. He navigated the tricky streets and highways expertly and I always felt safe. His good English and relaxed company and made the journeys go quickly. He kept me up to date with the itinerary and organized the meet ups with all the guides without a problem. Starting in Delhi, Vikram was enthusiastic and energetic and provided an excellent tour of the sites in south Delhi. Chandel was my knowledgeable guide in Agra. He knew everything there was to know. The Taj Mahal and Fort were amazing. The hotel was an excellent old colonial building. Ranthambore national park was excellent. A beautiful hotel and setting and I was lucky enough to see 2 tigers as well as many other animals. The morning safari was cold! Bring something warm. Jaipur was beautiful and the old town was amazing to see the energy and life. Vijay was my guide. Knowledgeable and friendly, with a good sense of humor, we shared jokes and stories and had fun. And finally, the blue city of Jodhpur with its old city, its Amber Fort and Merangarh Fort was beautiful. My guide was Sunny who was a good host and explained everything in detail. The only negative I’ll mention is that we left Agra late so arrived later than planned in Ranthambore (8pm). Driving at night was a little stressful. I feel me, my guide and driver could have managed our time better in Agra and made life easier. One other thing, the pre Safari briefing in Ranthambore was good, but I don’t recall being told what cantor I was to get, so I was confused on both safaris. It was sorted out quickly so it wasn’t a big deal, but could have been simpler. Overall a great trip that I would fully recommend.

Very well organised trip all destinations covered. Delhi tour was both enjoyable and informative, guide good but sorry have forgotten name, very good restaurant for lunch although a bit packed. Agra, hotel was lovely but bathroom could do with a bit of a face lift. Dinner was buffet at £15 per head also a bun fight but food ok. Our guide Mr S was superb and such a gentleman, clearly loves his job. Taj Mahal breathtaking and cant recommend enough. Agra fort also amazing. Ranthambore was a very long drive, Hotel Tiger Den very run down, which is such a shame as could be so stunningly beautiful, staff very helpful food ok. There was a guide from the company that turned up just told us to be ready early. He turned up again when we left don't know why he was there really. Tiger tours very cramped in the canter. Didn't see tigers but that's nature for you. Luck of the draw with the park guides, both just lack luster. Jaipur hotel Sarover Premier looked so promising, fantastic room, went down to dinner were seated but ignored. Asked to order from menu, told buffet said wanted menu, just stared at, in the end we went without dinner. Breakfast was worse, food running out, having to continually ask for juice, tea etc. Not well organised. Amber fort is beautiful, didn't stop at lake palace or palace of the winds, guide also very knowledgeable and a gentleman. Drive back to Delhi good. Overall enjoyed the trip would recommend but the outstanding star of the show after Taj Mahal was Mr Vipin our driver, he did an outstanding job and looked after us both. He drove both calmly and safely throughout the whole tour. Was always on hand and he kept the whole tour together. Thank you Mr V you are a star.

We had the most wonderful experience and trip. Our driver vipin was exceptional at driving and in at times difficult terrain and high volume traffic. He was always on time and early for pickup for us and was a brillaint guide and source of information as we journeyed through each city. He kindky provided snacks and water for us throughout our travels and had wifi in the car, vipin was a gentleman and took brillaint care of us on our trip. Our three guides himmat, BJ and ashuk were all very knowledgeable for the tours of the key sights in each city and took fantastic pictures for us of the sights. Every hotel we stayed in JP palace, the tigeress and hilton jaipur were all beautiful 5 star hotels with excellent food and staff. Shakul who was our contact for planning the trip was excellent and prompt at communication always on hand to answer any questions . Could not recommend our experience enough in every aspect.

We really enjoyed our tour around the Golden Triangle and Ranthambore. All of the tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable and spoke good English. The tour took us to some amazing sites, as well as to local craft producers, where we could see how they make these beautiful things locally. A big thank you to Himmat, Mahesh Kumar and Ashok for the tours! Ranthambore is an incredible national park and we enjoyed our group tours, but unfortunately did not see any tigers. The national park had to reschedule our second tour, so we did this on the morning of Day 4 before heading to Jaipur. However Damodar kindly gave us a tour of the Ranthambore Fort in the afternoon of Day 3, where we got to see inside the Temple, a lovely view of the National Park and hear about the history of the Fort. Thank you to Damodar! DK was a brilliant driver. We felt very safe and looked after with him, even on the crazy city streets! He pointed out sights as we drove between cities and even stopped to see some Monkeys! Thanks to Shakul for staying in touch throughout our trip and ensuring we were fully prepared beforehand. Be prepared for lots of early starts but it is worth it for the experiences and sights!

We booked the no hotel option as I have been lucky to travel to India many times. Our experience prior to the trip set the stage through my interactions with Shakul who was always prompt in communications re questions (larger car, recommended if you are on a longer trip), choosing Gypsy (Jeep) rather than Cantor in Ranthambore. During the trip this continued with on the fly adjustments e.g. adding an extra safari trip at very short notice due to the fact that we got drenched on our first safari in the dry season! The team he has assembled is superb and all have years of experience working together: DK our driver, who calmly and skilfully navigated the traffic, had a wonderful sense of humour (the 4 wise monkeys) and adjusted timings etc as needed. Hope the cap fits. Hemant our guide in Delhi, a young man with a passion for his subject matter. Good luck with your Sanskrit studies Mahesh in Agra, who was able to provide differing perspectives and judge the level of detail so that you were informed, rather than overwhelmed. Ashok in Jaipur, who was not only able to convey the essence of the history in an engaging way but demonstrate personally how he applied the underlying principles to modern life. While we did not see a Tiger, as a consolation we did encounter two Sloth bears which are rare. Finally thank you all for making it such a great experience.
