Christchurch: Exclusive Waipara Afternoon Wine Escape

Fantastic. We visited a good range of wineries and Stephany was a very knowledgeable host and driver. I will be drinking Waipara wines now !

Stephanie is an amazing host as she has spent many years in the wine industry and really knows the history and the nuances of the region. We had a superb day enjoying some great wine and food and I am so glad we picked this tour.

This tour was awesome! We were picked up near our motel, and our driver was so much fun. The vineyards were beautiful, and we spent the right time at each of them. Was wonderful to have this experience, and met some great people in our group.

Had a lovely day with Jude. Enjoyed the food and wine at Waipara Springs Winery was brilliant. At George’s Road wines loved the wines and the wine maker talking us thru his selection was awesome. Also Pepper loved our pats 😉.

Jude was awesome! Sense of humor, cared about our unique needs, knew when to be present and when to let the experience take over.

The 3 wineries visited were quite different from each other but located close together so travel was much reduced, allowing much more time to taste at each winery. The offerings were good to excellent, with no “dogs.” The hosts and our driver/guide Samantha (a former grower) were excellent, knew their stuff and answered all our questions, so we learned a lot. Highly recommended.

Outstanding tour, highly recommend. First two wineries were not great but Pegasus Bay made up for the others. Our tour guide was a wine professional who provided great insight into the Waipara region.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the countryside on our way to the wine region. She gave us detailed information about the history of the land we traveled through. The selection of the wineries was well chosen.
