A great experience and definitely one to do if you’re in Sedona or Phoenix. It’s definitely better to go with a guide so you’re not trying to find good spots. They show you everything, bring you lunch. They also take you on a hike into the Grand Canyon which you should definitely do, even if you are scared off heights. The trail is wide and easy for anyone. All the sights are great and it’s a great experience. Our tour guide was Patrick Boyd, very good at what he does.

My son and I had the most amazing private tour yesterday . Patrick picked us up at our hotel in Flagstaff promptly at 8:00. The van was extremely comfortable and endless beverages and snack were available . During the 90 minute drive to the South rim, Patrick pointed out points of interests and is very knowledgeable in the Canyons history. Once in the park for the next few hours we went to 5 different areas to take in the full beauty of the Canyon. Lunch was provided and was delicious. They even were able tailor the meal to our dietary restrictions. The day just flew by. This was a bucket list dream for me and this tour and our guide Patrick did not disappoint.

John is a tremendous source of information for Native American information, geology (his college major) and general history of the area. The route is obviously well designed with each stop getting more amazing at the canyon. If all you have is one day this is a great tour!

Jason was our guide and he was really great. I went on this tour with my parents who are both over 70, as well as my sister and her partner, and Jason was very accommodating! Showing us the best views/knowledge while adjusting the tour to accommodate for the wind/cold. Would definitely recommend!

My family of five, with three children ages 16 to 9, spent a wonderful day with our tour guide John. It was an incredible and informative adventure. He navigated what was an unexpectedly very busy day at the park by using an alternative entrance and revising the itinerary on the fly, something we as average tourists would not have even known to do. We saw six of the most beautiful vantage points all across the south rim, and did a one and a half hour hike on the Bright Angel Trail. John’s background in geology and environmental science plus his expertise and experience in the canyon made the trip incredibly informative as he basically taught a master class in the creation of the Grand Canyon. I’m not sure who learned, more my wife and I, or our children! He also knew an incredible amount about the history of the area to Native Americans which was very important for our children to learn. John was also very patient as my nine-year-old has a sensitive stomach and gets carsick from time to time. If I tried to do what we did on this tour by myself with my family, not only would we have not seen half as much, but we would’ve learned even less, and I would’ve had a lot more stress. The tour is not inexpensive, especially with a well-deserved tip, but in the end, it’s worth every penny. Instead of something we just did as a family, I had something that we experienced, and I got to be a part of that because I was not in charge of all of the logistics. Plus, the planning process with Ivy was easy and helpful.

Our five member family's early April 2025 tour was a wonderful experience! Despite less than idea weather our guide - Patrick - made our day-long Sunset Tour of the Grand Canyon an unforgettable, breathtaking experience! One of the "seven wonders of the world" provides views that are best experienced in person. Our day was greatly enhanced by Patrick's extraordinary knowledge, professionalism and 10 years of experience guiding for All Star. In an environment requiring constant focus on safety, Patrick's attention to detail in this area was always front of mind. He incorporated his personal telescope which frequently provided exclamation points to specific items of interest that would have been otherwise unseen! Patrick is a perfect example of someone who loves his job! Finally, our compliments to All Star for the wonderful food personally served by our guide at lunch and at sunset!

Jeff was an excellent guide with interesting information and insights about Grand Canyon. He paced our 6 .5 hours tour perfectly and was very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks for lunch and snacks were also very good.

We were staying at Under Canvas, and were greeting in the lobby for our 8 hour adventure. Our guide, David was absolutely amazing! So knowledgable, and didn't just recite from a script. He genuinely knew the area, and everything about it, and could field any and all questions we asked him! The sightseeing stops we very memorable also. Not just the tourist areas, but also David's favorites that weren't as well known, which meant little to no crowds. The provided picnic lunch was also top notch!

Nothing but the highest praise for this tour. Booking was easy and communication leading up to the date was very clear. Our family of 4 (kids 9&10) were picked up by Jon in a very clean, very comfortable and very upgraded Transit van right on schedule at our Flagstaff hotel. He was immediately friendly and asked us questions to help him customize the tour. Jon explained the history of the area/GC on the drive up. As we entered the South Rim Jon explained that he didn't want us to see the GC for the first time through a car window, so he was very intentional on where he drove/parked. He walked us up to a viewing spot and it was a PERFECT first view. He also had a telescope that he helped point out specific formations and landmarks. We had dinner at El Tovar overlooking the canyon. What an experience!! I cannot say enough positive things about this tour experience and Jon. Just absolutely fantastic. Book this... you won't be disappointed!!!!
