Breathtaking Dubai Heritage Safari: Vintage Land Rover & Starlit Feast

Due to serious circumstances, we had to cancel our desert safari booking several days before the departure date. We were very worried about losing our money. However Platinum Heritage Dubai acted very professionally and with great empathy. They gave us several options how to solve this issue and in the end we got a full refund without any problems. I am sure that we will book another safari if we are visiting Dubai in the future. We can highly recommend this company for their communication and customer service.

The entire experience from the moment we were collected from our hotel to the drive back and everything in between was exceptional. Our guide Dean was super friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It felt like a passion not a job to him and he made every trip feel unique. The landrover drive through the nature reserve, the falcon display and tea, the four course meal, entertainment, as well as Dean’s stargazing talk was all incredible. There was so much delicious food that our only advice is not to eat beforehand! We highly recommend the trip and would say it’s well worth it!

From the moment he collected us, Asim was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared fascinating insights about the desert ecosystem, Bedouin heritage, wildlife, and local traditions, which made the experience feel authentic and meaningful rather than just a tour. The drive through the desert was smooth and comfortable, and his skill and care made us feel safe and relaxed throughout. We were lucky enough to see desert wildlife and enjoy breathtaking scenery at a gentle, unhurried pace. The conservation-focused approach of Platinum Heritage really stood out, and the traditional camp experience was beautifully done — peaceful, atmospheric, and respectful of Emirati culture. The food was fantastic: beautifully presented, generous, and full of rich local flavors that made the evening feel even more special. Asim went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable, answering questions with patience and genuine enthusiasm. His kindness and attention to detail made the entire day feel special. If you are considering a desert safari in Dubai, I cannot recommend Platinum Heritage highly enough — and if you are fortunate enough to have Asim Javed as your guide, you are in excellent hands. This was one of the best experiences and very unique that I’ve ever had. We had the best fun took the best pictures and ate a ton of food, and I loved riding the camels.

This was an absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish! The vintage Land Rover added such a unique and authentic touch to the desert safari — it really set this tour apart from anything else we'd seen in Dubai. The desert scenery was breathtaking, and the whole atmosphere felt immersive and genuinely special. A huge highlight was our guide, Zizinga, who was absolutely phenomenal. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and warmth made the entire journey so much more meaningful. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, answered every question with a smile, and made us feel completely at ease throughout. He is a true asset to this experience. The dinner was fantastic too — great food in a magical desert setting. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. If you're visiting Dubai, do not miss this one!

What a great afternoon & evening. Our guide, Ravi, was prompt and professional all day long. Every aspect of this excursion was fun and fulfilling. So much authentic food was served at dinner, and gazing at the stars afterward in the middle of the desert was a great finish to the night. Highly recommend Heritage for this excursion.

What an amazing experience. From pick up to drop off everything went perfectly. The camel ride, falcon show and especially the stars information exceeded our expectations.

This is the perfect activity to experience multiple aspects of the culture and peoples of Dubai - with fantastic support throughout the day and includes such interesting aspects such as star gazing, falcon flying and local drumming

Choosing a desert safari was tough with so many options available but I ultimately decided on Platinum Heritage, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The tour was arranged through our hotel. Our driver and host, Saif was punctual for the afternoon pickup, personable and highly knowledgeable during the drive to the desert, sharing interesting insights along the way. Upon arrival, we were given reusable water bottles and headscarves before the windy vintage Land Rover safari ride. We spotted a couple of native animals in their natural habitat and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the dunes. Enjoyed the falcon experience where we were served hot cinnamon tea and date juice and had the chance to take photos with the falcon. We were then brought to a Bedouin-style camp offering camel rides, an Arabic coffee station and a henna station. Dinner was incredibly generous, almost like having three buffets in one with a wide selection of dishes including traditional Emirati specialties such as camel meat and camel milk. The evening ended with stargazing accompanied by explanations and entertainment before returning to the hotel. A luxurious desert safari experience that I would recommend and come very hungry.
