We had a great time! Our guide Shadrack was a total pro: knowledgeable, sensitive, very enjoyable to spend time with. We loved the boat ride, and the rural vibes and scenic views in immediate proximity to the bustling - and polluted - city of Kampala. A welcome fresh air day trip. Maybe not for the faint of heart or out of shape… the terrain is hilly and rather rough going at times. We enjoyed the challenge.

Good bikes, friendly/knowledgeable guide (James!) and amazing route which can be customised to fit every level of mountainbiking.

We really enjoyed our morning’s mountain biking with James, an excellent guide. Cycling on a variety of roads and single track paths we covered just under 30 km through some lovely scenery, up and down hills and along beaches. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience, cruising between rural homes, Lake Victoria breeze, and tea plantations. If you choose for the Ssezibwa Falls extension be prepared for a 9 hour ride! (You've gotta be super fit for it) I choose the extension and it was amazing, and the falls are beautiful. James was an excellent guide and even dropped me off at the marketplace to get a fruit I wanted!

The bikes were a couple of months old and mine was even upgraded. I’m a mountain biker and I was worried that the quality of the bikes would be substandard. The route was easy for me but my wife was challenged. We took breaks so it was manageable. The scenery was beautiful and passing by the locals was unforgettable. We felt like royalty with the kids running to say hello and wave. Our guide Michael was awesome. A great way to get some exercise and see culture after many hours in the back of our safari vehicle.

This was a fantastic experience and absolutely must do while in Kampala! I loved everything about this tour! First to mention that Shadrack was the most amazing guide. I was the only one in tour and he was literally in charge of my phone and taking the pictures all the time so i don’t have to worry about it. I never mountain biked before so he made sure to provide the guidance how to tackle in the challenging parts and I loved it . I am not in worst but not in best shape neither, but only twice I had to push the bike up hill ( ½ of hill) and it wasn’t really that hard. This was a wonderful cultural adventure but also the nature one. We biked through villages, forest, the lake shore, eat Rolex, even interacted with the local kids that happen to be on their class break - the highlight of my trip (happy tears)! We saw the monkeys, birds, goats, we laugh and talk about life. My heart was full. I really didn’t want to go back to the busy city. I enjoy every minute of it and I truly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Kampala. You will remember it forever! Oh, and I love my bike!!

Experiencing culture and nature while riding a bike is always good. With this tour you experience amazing nature, small villages, tasting local food and so many people greeting and smiling at you... Shadrack my guide on tour was great, telling about the region and when asked had great informative answers.

Really fun route and a great way to shake off the jet lag. Shedrack is an amazing guide & patiently answers questions on any topic, from local botany to history.

Wonderful bike ride through the countryside and villages. Francis was a super guide, the bicycle was top notch, and the views amazing! Boat tour, Jackfruit and Rolex snack included 😊Next time I’m in Kampala I will go again!

Red Dirt were efficient over WhatsApp with organising my trip. They even rescheduled due to rain with no issues as I didn’t want to cycle in the rain. Michael my guide was super, he went at my pace and gave me lots of information on locals areas and food etc. It was great to get away from the noise of Kampala to enjoy the countryside. Cycling through villages with nothing but views and nature.❤️ Even the boat spin over and back was nice to see how locals travel.
