Puerto Plata: Unveil City Secrets on a Transformative Tour

Great way to get to know the city, out tour guide was amazing. We enjoyed the intimate setting provide by our guide and excursions. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patience with us. Our tour of Puerto plata was amazing. Our tour guide santos torres was wonderful. He was very accommodating and provided lots of information along the way. Very patient with us and enjoyed the privacy that came with his tour. Had drinks for us and lead the way throughout the tour.

The friendly guide took us to the rum factory where they made us taste 6 varieties of rum, then to a chocolate store with a tasting of various products, and then to an artisanal jewelry of larimar and amber. The goal of every visit was obviously to make us buy but there was no obligation. We went to umbrella and pink street which are very nice for pictures and ended with the fortress that lets you see a beautiful landscape. Inside the van shots of rum were offered for free ;) The guide tried to speak French to us, which was appreciated, although I can understand English and Spanish.

Danny is great. He was on time picking us up from Susua. The van is clean and large. The drive was comfortable and we visited several interesting places

This tour was the best thing about our whole cruise. We had a very experienced tour guide that took us around to all the sites in the city and had an authentic Dominican lunch. If you are visiting Amber Cove or Tiano Bay on a cruise, please consider this company for your excursion!

I was on a cruise and had a stop in Puerto Plata. I am not sure if it was the same for others, but I felt like I received VIP treatment. I was alone with my tour guide Daniel. He made sure I had an amazing time in Puerto Plata. I do not like taking photos, but Daniel encouraged me to take them. In fact, he was not only my guide, but also my private photographer. I am so grateful, because now I have so many beautiful memories from Puerto Plata, all thanks to Daniel’s warm hospitality. At the end of the tour, he even suggested doing something extra if I wanted. It was very hot, and I was already overwhelmed by everything I had seen, so I let the opportunity pass. But it was so kind that the option was there. Daniel, I forgot your last name, but if you are reading this, I am the girl who works at the youth prison.

The tour was everything we expected it to be, and more, especially because of our tour guide Antonio Camilo. He was extremely knowledgeable of the DR, added lots of humor while he explained different points of interest, and patiently waited on us while we took lots of pictures. He even honored one last request of taking us to get ice cream before we returned to the cruise port! Thanks for making our tour great, Antonio!
