Husavik: Ultimate Whale & Puffin Arctic Wildlife Safari

The puffin part of the trip was very disappointing. I was excited to see puffins up close, as advertised, but unless you had a huge telescopic lens, you just saw a lot of small flying black birds. Sorry I paid extra for it. The whale watching part was fine.

Wonderful experience! The whole team crew is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend! We did see some wales even during a very windy day.

The zodiac boat ride was fun. Amazing to see the soaring cliffs from the water. It was like being let in on a secret. The captain and his other crew member were super friendly and funny, making the tour all that much more fun.

Great to see humpback and minke whales. Wished we were closer to the puffins. You see them flying and from quite a distance on the island

We had a fantastic time on this tour and were lucky enough to see humpback whales, a minke whale, and even some dolphins! We had originally booked the puffin tour, but unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn’t visit the island. That said, the company informed us 24 hours in advance and refunded the price difference between the puffin tour and the regular tour – very professional and appreciated. The wind, however, was strong – I’d give it a solid 4/5. It definitely impacted part of the experience, but that’s nature for you. Despite the conditions, we still had a great time. The wildlife sightings were incredible, and being greeted at the harbor with a cinnamon bun and hot chocolate was a lovely touch that made us feel taken care of. Overall, I’d rate the tour itself a 5/5. Friendly crew, great communication, and a truly memorable experience. Would love to go again – hopefully with a bit less wind next time!

Great trip. Saw whales and puffins both. The Captain did a great job locating the whales and the Crew did a great job of describing them and pointing them out. Rolls and hot coco were an unexpected treat

Absolutely excellent tour! They provided warm coveralls to wear, which really helped keep the cold out. Their crew also included a marine biologist who was quite informative and shared so many details about the local wildlife. We went to Puffin Island where so many puffins were flying around, landing in the water, and taking off. They had all found their and were in pairs. Afterwards we headed out to find whales, and then they gave us hot cocoa and cinnamon rolls on the way. We were able to see about 5 humpback whales. I will say that the fogs had rolled in as we were leaving the harbor and we were still able to see so much and have a great time. Well worth the money to go!

Professional, punctual, and great weather too. A blue whale was in harbour that day, several humpbacks came up and passed alongside the tour boat, a pod of white-beaked dolphins played nearby. The island populated with puffins could only be viewed at a distance and was not really an attraction.

This was an amazing whale and puffin watching tour. Not only did we see a lot of wildlife, we also learned so much about the animals we were seeing. We were lucky to see whales and puffins on our own throughout Iceland, but without the tour, we would never have learned all that we did about them. I can't believe whales are conscious breathers!

We enjoyed our day whale watching. The tour is on a boat that gives you space to move around. We thought the marine biologist host was excellent and gave out so much wonderful information. We were able to see two humpback whales and some dolphins, so awesome. The down part of this was too many people on the boat, maybe 10 too many. Also would of appreciated the guide asking people to move from the prime spots to give others a chance to experience.
