Transformative Whale Watch: Gloucester's Ocean Giants!

We saw 8 humpbacks in various locations, some within 30 feet of the boat, others playing with other whales. Totally awesome!!! Best whales watch I've ever been on!

If you have never done anything like this, grab your family or friends and get going! I cant explain how wonderful this experience was. The staff are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We are planning to go back next year.

The excursion was everything described and more. The crew of John, Sierra, Tina and others made sure all our needs were met. We saw many whales and dolphins too. So much fun! Great operators, highly recommend this tour company. Be sure to bring a hat, sunglasses and jacket. Sun is bright and the ocean breezes are cool to cold. Wear layers!!!

We had a wonderful time ! They did a great job finding whales and then getting us over to see them! The only thing we would recommend is more speakers. The Naturalist was very knowledgeable but we couldn’t hear her. Also, maybe a little better communication on the whole process, what was going to be happening throughout the day. We really enjoyed it though and would recommend it to anyone coming to the area. Thank you for a great day.

I went out with Cape Ann Whale Watch last week and had an unforgettable experience. We spotted four majestic whales, and the entire trip was guided by someone clearly passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply experienced. I didn’t just see whales—I learned so much about them, their behaviors, and the surrounding ecosystem. The crew was professional, warm, and made the whole journey feel both safe and magical. Highly recommend if you’re looking not just to watch whales, but to meet them truly.

Wow!!! We saw 10 humpback whales and a school of dolphins. Absolutely amazing tour. The naturalist, captain and crew went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. it started off slow, and I wasn’t sure if we were going to see anything, but we ended up seeing so many whales and they were breaching and rarely seen dolphin that they gave us an extra hour on the water. I would highly recommend this tour.

It took some time to find one but once we did the information provided was awesome and they worked the boat in a way everyone was able to see. And we were part of a gender reveal of New Jersey. 🩷

We steamed out & about for 2+ hrs w/out seeing anything, then some incredible action kicked off & kept going. Saw 3 humpbacks & a pod of dolphins as an association working together for quite a while. Saw more humpback associations later, & then, thanks to a NOAA research vessel, we were directed to a ‘breach fest’ which we observed from afar. Crew was great, basic food / snacks & drinks available for reasonable prices (cash only). Can bring own snacks/drinks on board (no alcohol). On site parking makes a difference, glad they have it. Very much recommend this experience.

Wonderful experience. Very informative guide. Saw more sightings than I ever dreamed. Also, sightings closer to the boat than I ever thought.

This whale watch was an incredible experience, our first time. Saw I think 5 different whales, some a couple of times. The crew and staff were professional, courteous and friendly. Our guide/announcer (Tina) was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate ans enthusiastic about the whales and marine biology in general. Her commentary enhanced the trip significantly. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
