Transform Boston: Hop-On Hop-Off Iconic Trolley Adventure

We very much enjoyed this tour. At first it was not clear to us that getting on at Stop 10 we would have to change trolleys twice. Once we arrived at Stop 1, we did the complete loop and our driver Coggs was excellent. He provided us with historical data in a unique and humorous way. As we were not getting on and off on this trip we did not have to worry about some seats. Some people were left waiting at some stops because there was not room on the trolley. The trip also provided discount tickets to the Tea Party Museum which is definitely worth a visit. Take a round trip trolley ride with Coggs and you will not regret it!

The stops were great and the narrative most helpful. Excellent to see the sites you hear about all your life.

It was very interesting and enjoyable! First time in Boston and we were overcome by the rich history coming to life and the beauty of Boston! The tour guides were fantastic, knowledgeable, humorous and great drivers!

The Hop-On Hop-Off tour is the best way to see all the highlights of the city. The drivers were very knowledgeable about the city’s history, and each added their own unique touch to make the tour fun and memorable.

Everything was going very well on the green bus... our driver/guide was very pleasant and informative. We hopped off at the Boston Tea Party stop to take advantage of our discounted tour admission that was included with our bus ticket. Afterwards, we wanted to hop back onto the green bus. We waited, and waited, and waited some more . A green bus failed to show up for 45 minutes, despite earlier announcements that a bus would show every 15 minutes. During this wait, three blue busses showed up, and none of those drivers inquired our status. By the time a green bus appeared, there was almost 30 people waiting. Thankfully, a 2nd green bus was immediately behind, so everyone waiting was accommodated. The bus driver commented that if there are many customers waiting, bus drivers are supposed to radio the dispatcher to send a spare bus ahead to alleviate the wait. This protocol clearly was not followed by all drivers, particularly the ones on the blue buses that drove away while we waited for a green bus. More training required!

Don’t pay in advance which I did for two days. The trolleys were always very full and had to wait some times. I discovered I didn’t need it the second day since we did a couple of walking tours. The bus drivers were always very nice and informative

Absolutely awesome trolley tour! Hits all the important highlights & we liked that it breaks the route up in 3 parts! We often use these tours in place of renting a car or using ride-share options especially when bringing our young children along who need booster/car seats. All the tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable and kind.

Pretty much chaos. I thought hop on hop off would be a great way to see the city. The website says that ain’t would only take two hours to go by all the stops. There’s no way that would be possible. It seemed like two buses were always coming to one stop at the same time so there were long gaps between buses causing long wait times at every stop. The drivers varied. They were all knowledgeable, but they all talked nonstop without taking a breath, and the speakers were very loud. It was claustrophobic, loud, and basically wasted an entire day.
