San Sebastian Night: Exclusive Pintxo & Tapas Journey

We loved our tour with Eske! The old town of San Sebastián can be a bit overwhelming- so many pintxos bars with many options. She knows the proprietors of each venue where she takes you and which items are the most fresh. She sometimes gets cut the line privileges which is so helpful when the popular bars are busy. She also will tailor your experience based on dietary needs - she even took us on an extra stop to get some sorbet for my husband who is lactose sensitive. She is friendly and so knowledgeable, as she is native to the city. We loved learning all of the history of the city as well as the details about the food in each bar. Eske followed up with an email listing all of the places we went, and what we had, so we could go back if wanted. Additionally, she provided recommendations for some others that we had not visited and some ideas for hiking around San Sebastián since we had inquired. Perfect way to start your trip to San Sebastián!

I was looking for a food tour experience in San Sebastián and this one was highly rated. As it turns out I was the only guest who booked that particular day. However that did not deter Eskerne, the owner and tour guide. She provided a wonderful one on one experience with excellent choices in restaurants offering multiple choices in pintxos. She is very charming, knowledgeable and articulate. I watched her interact with the business owners and other guests in the restaurants we visited. She is well known and liked. While I perhaps did not share in the added fun that a small group atmosphere might provide, Eskerne made sure that that I had a memorable experience. I highly recommend this activity 🤗

Eskerne’s pintxo tour in San Sebastián was hands down the coolest experience of our entire trip. From the moment we met her, her warmth, kindness, and infectious personality made us feel like we were exploring the city with an old friend. Brilliant tour. Very accomodating to all tastes and interest levels. Eski was great!! we had some amazing food and she was particularly good at working with the bars and restaurants to ensure that our food was fresh every time!

From start to finish, our experience with Discover San Sebastián was simply gorgeous. What sets this tour apart is the personal touch. Eskerne (Esky) made the experience feel as it was curated just for us – relaxed, intimate, and full of genuine connection. We explored the city’s hidden corners, soaked up its fascinating history, and got an authentic taste of local life. And the food – wow! Every pintxo bar Esky took us to was better than the last. We had one night in San Sebastian so we could not afford to search and wander for the right pintxos. So we booked with Esky. Esky was a fantastic tour guide tailoring our pintxos stops based on our food preferences. We has a great time with the other couple who participated on the tour with us. My teenage son got to experience new foods and learned how to pour a sidra inro a glass. Esky encouraged sharing and tasting while making sure the kitchen delivered the best pintxos. Nothing was served pre- made. It was either hot and fresh or it was not accepted by Esky. Sure you can good with a cheaper tour and go to all the tourist favorites but I feel booking with a local who will provide a more personal experience is worth the price

Just had a fabulous evening with Eskerne (Esky) from Discover San Sebastián. The three hour experience was very well paced, Esky was a very knowledgeable and helpful guide, the food and drink were excellent and we met some great people! What’s not to like!
