Nara's Sacred Sites: Half-Day Bike Tour & Deer Encounters

My friend and I met at the meeting spot a few minutes late, but Jerome, our tour guide, waited for us. Jerome is very kind as he made sure to adjust our bikes to our height and provided us helmets and glasses. It is a very pleasant experience biking through the countryside of Nara and having interesting conversations with Jerome. Our first stop was Nara Park and we got to feed the deer. We also got to see Kodaiji temple where I bought plenty of souvenirs, wrote on a roof tile, and stamped my passport. The bike ride itself was not strenuous and was fairly easy. The weather was very hot that day, but Jerome brought an ice cold water bottle for us to share. After the tour was over, Jerome guided us to a bus stop and we departed ways. Overall, I had an amazing time and would definitely do it again!

Just want to say Melody was a great bicycle tour host. She provided us with nice bikes that fit our size and lots of safety info. She also provided many facts about all locations and gave us plenty of time. The trip to knife makers shop was great for shopping. I did find it odd that she would only take photos of us with her phone which was a much older phone/camera than my IPhone. The pics were to be available at a later date (after we posted a positive review?) We did not receive a What’s App communication until the morning of, and it was from someone in another city not the actual leader of the tour. Turns out we got on the wrong bus and were going to be a little late but after all the rushing we were the only ones on the tour, which would have been nice to know at the time. I would still recommend this tour and especially with Melody. We got to ride bikes in Japan!

Our guide was so nice and friendly! The tour itself was so fun and relaxing and by cycling it was easier to explore those areas. We had a good time thank you very much!

Robert went above and beyond to provide the highlight of my five day visit to Kyoto. I highly recommend him if you would like a premier bike tour of Nara. Tip: The e-bike made the trip so easy.

Great trip had a great time at Nara, but I will say that trip on the sidewalk to Nara was dangerous. I would recommend people be in their 20s and 30s because it is a rigorous trail. My son was 12 and my mom was 70 and it was a very hard trail.

Robert guided us with agility in all the Nara park area, well known must see, and more secret areas, reviewing some of the main Japan’s historical facts and religious keys. Beside the outstanding sightseeing aspect, this visit made a lot of sense for me. Make sure you can ride a bike before booking this tour. Electric or not, there is not so much difference if you’re used to standard bikes. I strongly recommend!

We selected this tour for the bike ride through the city. The tour guide was clear and knowledgeable in her explanations of the history. She cared about the tour and kept all of us well-informed. I maintained the same word count while correcting the grammar and making the language slightly more formal and precise.

We saw many amazing sights and our guide was knowledgeable. The bikes we easy to use and great on the hills. Maybe felt a little rushed at the end when we were going through great parks and could have stopped for a few pics. Overall would recommend.

I left my wallet on the bus and the tour guide Robert went above and beyond to help me find it! He then proceeded to give me the entire tour after the delay. Really kind and helped to make a stressful situation a lot better.
