Exclusive Camargue 4x4 Safari: Wild Beauty Explored

Excellent guide showing the lovely sites around les Saintes Maries de la Mer, the exquisite birds, mainly flamingos. We learned about the origins of the village, its customs and traditions. Also about Camargue, the intricate system of levies, bringing water from the Rhone river for their agriculture, rice, wheat as well as the bull fights and Camargue horses, the traditions that began in the XVIth and XVIIth centuries. An overall great experience. We took the 3,5 hour tour.

Our guide was knowledgeable and we saw some lovely wildlife. However, advertising wild white horses is completely inaccurate. There are many white horses, but none are wild. The images used online for publicity are misleading. All horses, bulls etc must be owned by someone. They are beautiful but domesticated, not running free. The flamingos and other birds we saw were very pretty.
