We had some time to kill in Adelaide before flying back to the UK. This trip was ideal. We had a very pleasant time on the river Torrens. The captain gave a running commentary throughout which was very informative. Thoroughly recommend the trip.

Well worth doing. We learnt a lot about the river and surrounding buildings. There is a bar on board.

A very enjoyable cruise on the River Torrens with excellent commentary by the captain with lots of information. It was quite enjoyable watching the city pass by as we motored up and down the river. Very relaxed style to take in all the views.

The staff and Captain were incredibly welcoming! I appteciated they put our pram aboard. We thoroughly enjoyed the sightseeing tour and the fascinating information shared about local places and history, along with old photos that brought the past to life. The Popeye is comfortable. It was a treat to grab an alcoholic beverage for myself and a juice for my child. My child liked being invited to sit in the Captain’s chair, and the highlight was blowing the Popeye’s horn! Highly recommend this experience to both locals and tourists, it’s truly one of the best parts of this beautiful city.

A cute little trip up the river talking about all the local landmarks. Captain and host were lovely. My highlight was seeing the little ducklings and their mothers along the way. The only minus is taking people back to the original dock to drop them off halfway through the cruise, so you go back to the beginning again. Either way, I highly recommend and the value is definitely worth the money.

Nice shortish trip on Torrens River in central Adelaide. Boarding point easy to find. Informative commentary from ship's captain as we cruised along.

Lots of info about the city and various attractions that are visible from the lake. Family business run for over 90 years.

The staff are very knowledgeable and it was great to learn about the history of Adelaide and some of the famous landmarks. It's a very slow, gentle cruise along the river, however, there are some steep stairs getting into the boat.

It was excellent introduction to key features / buildings along the Torrens. The captain was amusing and provided good info on the historical aspects. Highly recommended for new Adelaide visitors
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Service animals allowed
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- The Popeye isn't conventionally wheelchair accessible BUT if patrons are prepared for 6 steps up, over and into the boat with handrails it is possible. The Skipper will lend assistance. This may be difficult for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
- Seats are assigned as general admission with a capactiy of 48 passangers per boat. Avaliablity will not be known in advance of the cruise time. Popeye operates on a 'first come first served basis'.
- Subject to favourable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or time
