Breathtaking Marrakech Hot Air Balloon: Sunrise & Breakfast

Absolutely wonderful experience 10 Plus from me. From pick up drop off it was a picture perfect experience The transport driver the welcoming reception and wait Finally in the balloon the pilot was fantastic and this being our first balloon ride we were made to feel extremely comfortable by the pilot Flawless take off and landing with breathtaking views of the sunrise We did the 630 one but I think the 730 would be equally good. The breakfast was delicious with generous helpings. The whole team works so hard to make one’s day so perfect I did and would recommend leaving a generous tip.

Most memorable experience of our visit. Perfect fro beginning to end- from collection before day break, to the excitement of seeing the balloon inflated in the dark, the ride itself and breakfast after….. couldn’t have ask for better!

Although the balloon ride itself was good, my husband and I were disappointed. We got there very early and we're one of the first ones to get in our balloons. Unfortunately a group of five got there late and didn't want to be split, so they removed my husband and I from our balloon and moved us to another balloon where we were split to different parts of the basket. I was placed with a mother daughter duo that didn't want to share the edge of the basket so I had to stand beside them for most of the flight. Very disappointing.

We had no idea what to expect with this tour and ended up entirely enchanted. The drive out to the grounds was mysterious, but we eventually saw the warm glow of little fires and lights in the distance. Arriving on site was when the real magic began. We were treated to a snack paired with hot tea and coffee in a beautiful and comfortable tent. Then, the balloons arrived and were prepared for flight. It was like watching dragons breathe fire into the night. We were amazed! Our amazement continued when we witnessed the gorgeous sunrise from the sky. We could clearly see the Atlas Mountains and surrounding area before the inversion set in, which felt like a real treat. Our flight was smooth, slow, and controlled—lift-off and landing included. Captain Holger was knowledgeable and funny. He very clearly loves his job and his family. His first-mate was his son, Pete. Captain Holger encouraged questions and answered them enthusiastically. It seemed he cultivated a love for ballooning with most of the people in our group! I felt safe and trusted that Captain Holger and Pete had total control the entire flight. Logistics: - A delicious breakfast is provided on site after the flight. - The grounds are well kept and there are clean restrooms on site. - Climbing into the basket is best done with pants. The balloon ride itself is plenty warm from the fire, but you may be more comfortable by having a light jacket handy during coffee and tea. - If you are with a group or going as a couple: consider linking arms to indicate to the crew that you would like to be sectioned together. Although Captain Holger and his son spoke English, some of the crew did not. I could see how people might accidentally be separated into different compartments within the basket – but this is entirely preventable through body language. Enjoy Marrakech from a bird’s eye view!

Amazing experience and highly recommend this. Make sure to book the sunrise tour and not the later morning tour as seeing the sun over the Atlas mountains is very special.

My first ballon ride, it was magical. Well organised, very friendly staff. The serenity of the ride over dessert like terrain with mountains in the distance was spectacular.

OUTSTANDING! This sunrise balloon ride was worth every penny!! From the moment a driver picked us up near our riad—we shared the drive to the desert with 5 other guests—to when he dropped us off later, the entire staff treated us with cheerful respect. We continue to fall in love with the Moroccan people. When we arrived at the event tent at the launch site, we were greeted with tea/coffee and sweetbread. My first thought was “This is it for the “traditional Moroccan breakfast?!” but wait… The float into the calm desert sky preceded the sunrise by about 10 minutes. All around us we could see other balloons rising, illuminated from within from the flames heating them up. It was stunning! A few minutes later, when the sun crested the mountains to our east, the color of the balloons exploded! It was breathtaking!! From our calm ride, we could see desert and mountains all around us, dotted here and there with the silhouette of the other balloons. All good things must come to an end, as the saying goes, so our balloon descended back to the desert floor. And here I was impressed again. The balloon pilot landed our balloon directly onto the flatbed of the pickup vehicle! I thought at first that our time was over and we would now return to Marrakech. But I was wrong! We all went back to the tent and had our traditional Moroccan breakfast, but now surrounded by the friends we made floating above the desert. It was delicious and fun! Thank you! Wow what an experience… there was every chance I wouldn’t actually get in the basket as I am scared of heights, but right from the pickup from my hotel I felt I was going to be in very safe hands, and I certainly do not regret this at all, it was an unbelievable experience that I will never forget 💖

The flight and experience was fantastic. Unfortunately, my wife and I were separated into different compartments in the basket which took the shine off and left us to photoshop ourselves together for photos

We booked this at 10pm the night before and they accommodated a 6am collection from our hotel. Incredibly responsive, even allowing us to change our collection time. The collection was smooth and well organised. We arrived and sat waiting with mint tea and lemon cake for a short while before heading over to the balloons. The balloon ride itself was truly magical. What a unique experience and the view was so good it convinced my partner who was very sceptical going in! Once we landed we then had a lovely Berber breakfast before being taken back to our hotel by 10am, allowing us to enjoy the rest of our day. I would not change a thing about this service.
