Taormina Segway: Glide to Breathtaking Views & Ancient Wonders

This was truly a highlight of our trip to Taormina. My husband and I got to visit all around Taormina in just 3 hours on the Segway. We had multiple stops and really felt like we got to see everything. The Segway is such a great way to see so much in less time. It was a private tour and we were spoiled to have Enzo the tour guide and Leo the owner both accompany us. Pickup and drop off were conveniently at our hotel. Leo made sure that we knew how to ride the Segways safely. Then he navigated the streets and the traffic expertly to make sure we were safe. He also stopped me from crashing out of control once or twice when we hit a steep hill. Enzo made sure that we saw the main streets, the main square, beautiful garden and viewpoints and the Ancient Greek/Roman theatre all with interesting commentary on our headsets as we rolled. This is a must do activity!

Great way to tour Taormina, especially in the July heat! It was our first time on segways, and definitely not our last since they were quite easy to use.

We do segway tours in as many cities as possible and this tour was THE BEST so far. The guides were knowledgeable, helpful and entertaining. They ensured that our group had time at each stop, took photos for us and responded quickly to any questions. Taormina is a busy town and having two guides allowed us to navigate safely and effortlessly through this beautiful medieval town.

Our segway tour experience with my daughter was nothing short of amazing. Leo and Maria Luisa were friendly and professional and we are so glad that we did it. If you're looking for a thrilling and unique way to explore a city with your family, I highly recommend a segway tour. It will create memories that will last a lifetime!

Our Segway tour of Taormina with Leo and Maria Luisa was wonderful. We were on a cruise ship and our original excursion was cancelled. We contacted them at the last minute and they were able to make it happen! We saw so much more than we had on previous trips to Taormina. We would highly recommend them!

This was a wonderful tour! So glad we did it! It would’ve been a 5 star but I dropped one star because of tardiness. When we arrived at the meeting spot, our guide not there. Fortunately they had given us their phone number and we were able to call. Their vehicle had broken down on the way. They did an amazing job of rearranging their transportation and guides to get us started on the tour, albeit an hour late. They were very accommodating of our schedule. It was so much fun!! We were able to cover so many charming narrow streets, squares, and the ancient theater. We never would have seen so much on foot. My husband has a heel injury that makes walking painful but he was able to Segway. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. We had earphones so we could listen to her as we rode. Our family of 6 (mom and dad 50+, four kids 16-24) toured Taormina for 2-3 hrs and saw all the key spots in a much more efficient way than a walking tour. Given the hilly terrain, it was also much easier than walking or climbing steps! The activity began with training us to use the Segways properly which took about 20 minutes. We were accompanies throughout by an excellent guide and the Segway guy (who was responsible for the equipment and our safety). Sometimes navigating through or around crowds, narrow streets, and vehicle traffic was a bit cumbersome, particularly given that we were a line of six people. Overall, a great way to learn about a new town on your first or only day there.

Such a fun thing to do! Highly recommend this! Easy way to see the town...especially w teens. Be careful of the pedestrians

Taormina is a strange but beautiful place. Everything is on a hill. We stayed for 3 days and did this right at the beginning and it gave us an immediate feel where everything is - and not getting out of breath!. This made our visit extra special as we could revisit places we had seen en route at our leisure. Apart from that segways are a blast for any age - you must do it.

My husband and I did the Taormina tour a few weeks ago and had a blast! Both Leo and the guide were great. Super knowledgable and gave us such great historical information. We had so much fun riding the seqways too! My only advice (and this has nothing negative to do with CSTRents) is that if you're doing the tour in the afternoon during the winter, make sure to go to the greek theater first. We went at 3pm and figured we'd stop by the theater but it closes at 3 in the winter so we didn't get to see it. Again, this is not their fault at all. We were stupid and didn't check the times. :) Just a quick bit of advice for your future plannings. But yes...I highly recommend them. If we're ever there again we will definitely use them again for one of the other cities!
