Kurt was a good guide and not only talked about food but local life in Shanghai. I did wish there was more variety to the food we had, and maybe drinks/ water in every stop— but overall, enjoyed the tour.

TJ was absolutely amazing! She took us on 7 or 8 stops to try all the most traditional Shanghainese foods, was more than understanding of our preferences of flavors, and taught us so much about the history and culture of Shanghai. We only had 2 days in the city and this tour was hands down the highlight!

The food on this tour was excellent throughout, with some truly great dishes, making it a very enjoyable experience. Kurt was social and clearly enthusiastic. However, he may have missed the opportunity to properly introduce the group at the start, which made things a little awkward, though it never took away from the overall experience.

Great evening with Kurt who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Lots of different dishes to try and some wouldn’t have picked but which surprised me. There was plenty of food and variety and the pace of the evening was just right. Thanks for a very memorable experience Kurt!

If you are looking for an authentic taste of Shanghai, look no further. We did the food tour with Jade and it was easily the best decision we made. She didn't just take us to generic tourist spots; she took us into the heart of the local neighborhoods to places we never would have found on our own. Jade is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and her passion for the city’s culinary history is contagious. We tried everything from the most amazing soup dumplings (Xiaolongbao) to local street snacks, and every bite was better than the last. She also did a fantastic job explaining the stories behind the food and the culture of the French Concession. She was professional, punctual, and made sure everyone in the group was well-fed and happy. If you’re lucky enough to get Jade as your guide, you’re in for a treat. 10/10—don’t miss this!

Jade was a very fun and friendly tour guide, taking us to five amazing stops with a variety of great unique, local cuisine. It’s always fun to go to places you wouldn’t normally discover on your own.

TJ was great. Enjoyed all the stops. Lots of local food and the tour was well organized. The early tour is focused more on food. The evening tour is more focused on drinks.
