What a great old city built around 1200. You need to visit this city while in Germany. Harbug castle was a great stop on the way.

It is a long day. The Horborg castle was not much to see. I felt it was a wasted stop and did not realize you had to pay to get in. Rothenburg was charming but way too crowded. You could barely get through the crowd. The ride back was about 3rds. Our guide was sweet and knowledgeable but talked too much during the ride there and back.

It was a great tour, beautiful town at Christmas. It did get crowded, many tour buses arriving, the streets became difficult to walk. Many good restaurants, all types of food to include German. Beautiful Christmas tree, a good Christmas feeling in this town.

The purpose of the trip suppose to be going to the old town Rothenburg. The whole trip took 6 hours on the road, and you only get to spend 2 hours 30 minutes in Rothenburg. You won’t have enough time to go to all places at all. The tour guide couldn’t help much except to tell you come back on time for the bus leaving. Also the Harburg Castle is private own which you can not apply the museum pass for it. Not recommended this trip if you want to sightseeing the old town Rothenburg.

Harburg castle is really not worth the expense. The tour guide in the bus and also did tour of Rothenburg was too fast, never waited for the end members of the tour to catch up and ended up running off up the hill when we got cut off by an oriental tour group. We never saw him again until we got back to the bus. Without a guide, it was a bunch of buildings...

This is a great tour. The walk-through of Harburg Castle is really interesting and the guide was informative and seemed to really enjoy his job. Rothenburg is a beautiful city, but it's busy. I visited in early December and the streets are packed with tourists. The summer season must be crazy there! The bus was amazing. Super modern, toilet on-board, USB charging, and drinks for sale, including beers. The driver was professional and I felt completely safe. Our guide, Dmitri, was exceptionally personable and approachable. He communicated very well and ensured everyone was clear on departure points and times. The day went like clockwork because of his efforts. It's a long day, around 10.5 hours, but highly enjoyable and comfortable. I highly recommend this tour!
