This is a cycling guided tour in which participants ride an electric bicycle and hear the story of the reconstruction of the bombed heritage sites and how we are trying to protect peace in the city of Hiroshima. The tour is led by a friendly team from Hiroshima. This tour is an English guided tour. ・Learn about local feelings towards the Peace Park from about 70 years ago. ・The area within a 2.5km radius from the hypocenter was severely damaged. We are heading to multiple bombed heritage sites that still remain. ・You will ride a comfortable electric bicycle to the local area, which is not only known for the Hiroshima Peace Museum. ・We will take you to unique places well-known by the local Japanese team. ・We will ride along the beautiful riverside and in the park to get an idea of the destruction of Hiroshima at that time and how it has changed into what it is now.

A great few hours being shown around Hiroshima by the amazing guide, Shin. As a local whose family were very much impacted by the Hiroshima bombing, he provided an invaluable and personal tour of the area.

I can highly recommend this tour. Our tourguide Kana was simply amazing. She explained the history or Hiroshima so well. Thank you so much for this experience it was one of our favourites from the entire trip.

Our guide Toma is a wonderful storyteller! Before the tour, we had already visited the museum, but thanks to him we gained a much deeper understanding of the tragic history of this city. At the end of the tour, he emphasized hope, the very hope that enabled the people of Hiroshima to rebuild their city while preserving its scars as a message to the world. He also shared a survivor’s words that deeply touched us: “If you want revenge, make many friends around the world. Then such horrible acts will never happen again, because you would never do this to your friends.” We were truly moved. We can wholeheartedly recommend joining this cycling tour with Sokoiko. It beautifully connects visitors with Hiroshima and carries forward a message of peace.

Incredibly informative, and beautiful, and inspirational, and fun, and the bike ride alone was lovely. Loved Tomas! We cried and he was proud haha also he gave us a great recommendation for when we’re in Kyoto. Between that and the bike tour, Tomas really made our trip

I really enjoyed the historical stories that I was told about Hiroshima it made me cry and I really enjoyed the experience of riding a Japanese bike. It will be an experience to remember in Japan.

This was a brilliant way to see Hiroshima and our guide, Kana, was fantastic. She knew everything and kept things moving well. Bikes were electric so really easy and efficient. Would totally recommend and again, Kana , thanks you so much. 10/10.
