We had such a wonderful experience! Our guide, Laura, was absolutely incredible. Everywhere we went, she made us feel welcomed like locals, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Her pride in being from Mérida, her deep family roots, and her knowledge of the region’s dishes all came through with such contagious positive energy. It truly made the tour exceptional. I highly recommend this experience — and especially Laura!! Thank you, Laura! ♥

I had a wonderful experience on this Mérida authentic cuisine /walking tour led by Laura. She is an excellent host—warm, knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about the history and culture of Mérida and the Yucatán region. Her explanations brought the city to life in such an engaging way. The visit to the local mercado was a highlight. It was authentic and full of spontaneous moments that made the tour feel truly unique. I felt comfortable, safe, and welcomed the entire time, while still experiencing the sense of adventure that comes with discovering a new place through the eyes of a local. This tour was interesting, fun, and full of genuine connection. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Mérida beyond the surface. Thank you, Laura, for an unforgettable experience!

Marcos was so friendly and educated our group well. He made accommodations for the vegetarian in our group and everything was delicious. It is a LOT of food!

I was excited for the experience given the excellent reviews but ended up being disappointed. While the food was good, I just felt that I could've had the same experience if l explored myself and was very expensive for what it was (almost $70 USD). Many of the dishes we ate were under 100-150 pesos. However I understand not everyone is comfortable going into local markets/restaurants and ordering, so it might be more worth it for you in that case. I thought our tour guide was not great. She was nice to talk to when I asked questions but | felt like she didnt add that much value and wasn't that engaging. The best part of the tour was meeting other travelers which made it a fun experience. Personally, la recommend just doing online research and trying local food yourself

This was an excellent tour, given by a Mérida local. The pace was good, and the variety of food was representative of Yucatecan cuisine. We concluded our tour at an ice cream shop, which was refreshing in June. There were only two of us on this tour, and our guide was so attentive, making sure that we were comfortable and engaged. I've since traveled back to Mérida and tried some of the same cuisine, so this is a great foundational food tour for Mérida.

An amazing experience! Such lovely people who made us the food and drinks, but also a really great guide. Laura was funny, direct and very patient. She made everyone in the group feel very welcome. Me and my partner stayed in Merida for almost four days, and took this tour on the day before we left. I would recommend taking the tour on the first day in Merida in order to get more information about traditional foods in Merida/Yucutan :)

Eat a light breakfast, and skip lunch. Make room for some great street food. Great guide, enjoyed the tour.

This is a great experience, especially if you are just coming into town, to get your bearings and learn about the food. After this tour, we went back to one of the restaurants for more amazing food and it was even better. Marcos was our host on Saturday (our first full day) and he was so friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. He was happy to answer any questions we had and made this tour top -notch. He also asked us questions towards the end of the tour to customize things we wanted to try. We’ve never done a food tour at any of the places we have visited in Mexico, but this is a must-do in Mérida. Thank you so much Marcos for your hospitality and for sharing this amazing city and food with us!!!! 💕🇲🇽 Come hungry, and pace yourself!!!
